To celebrate the excellence in film, television, and theatre, Baeksang Arts Awards are back once again this year. After all the wait, only one day is left till the award show takes over our TV screens. And with that, the team has already announced the presenter lineup for Baeksang Arts Awards 2022. According to the list, a lot of winners from the previous years will be coming back to grace the stage with their presence. And not just the past but the possible nominees from the future will also be taking over the task of presenting and honoring the deserving artist.
Started in 1965, the ceremony of Baeksang Arts Awards was started by Chang Key Young. He was known as the founder of the Hankook Ilbo newspaper. With time, Baeksang Arts Awards went on to establish the development of Korean popular culture and art. It also enhanced the morale of artists. The Baeksang ceremony has become one of the most prestigious annual awards shows in South Korea. It’ll soon be completing its sixth decade since its start.
For the nominations, the Baeksang Arts Awards team evaluates the streaming TV content. They also take in domestic films and theatrical productions. The content released between April 12, 2021, and March 31, 2022, is eligible for entry.
Here’s A Look At The Presenter Lineup For The 58th Baeksang Arts Awards
Back from his mandatory military service, the Nation’s boyfriend, aka Park Bo Gum, will be taking over as the main host of the Baeksang Arts Awards 2022. Park Bo Gum will be accompanied by the infamous Shin Dong Yup and Suzy. Shin Dong Yup will be hosting the Baeksang Arts Awards for the fifth time. While Suzy will be coming back for her seventh year with the beloved ceremony, Park Bo Gum will be coming back for the fourth time as a host too. Managing the whole ceremony together, the three hosts will get help from their fellow actors in presenting the awards.
Winners of the Grand Prizes in the television and film categories, Yoo Jae Suk and director Lee Joon Ik will be coming back to the stage. The honorable actor and director will be presenting this year’s Grand Prizes at the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards, passing on their own crown. Winners from the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards will be making a comeback too. Actors including Shin Ha Kyun, ‘Penthouse’ fame Kim So Yeon, ‘Chicago Typewriter’ fame Yoo Ah In, Jeon Jong Seo, ‘Uncle’ fame Oh Jung Se, Yeom Hye Ran, Park Jung Min, Kim Sun Young, ‘A Korean Odessy’ fame Lee Seung Gi, Jang Do Yeon, Choi Soon Jin, Lee Bong Ryeon, Lee Do Hyun, Park Ju Hyun, Hong Kyung, and Choi Jung Woon will be coming back to the stage to present the awards.
Future Baeksang Nominees Will Be Giving Us A Look Too
Many actors from the upcoming dramas will also be presenting awards to their seniors. 2022 upcoming k-drama ‘Clean Up’ fame Yum Jung Ah, Insider’s Kang Ha Neul, and Lee Yoo Young will be coming to the stage as presenters too. K-pop idols like ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo will be presenting too. He’s currently working on the upcoming k-drama ‘Island’ alongside Lee Da Hee. The idol will be gracing the ceremony with his co-star. ‘The Fabulous’ fame SHINee’s Minho and Chae Soo Bin will be coming and presenting too.
To make the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards more special, Kim Woo Bin and Lee Kwang Soo will be coming too. The actors will be coming for the promotions of their upcoming k-drama ‘Unexpected Business 2’. Along with them, Moon So Ri, Go Soo, and Park So Dam of “Special Delivery” will present an award on the stage of Baeksang Arts Awards 2022 too.
Having an amazing presenter lineup, the Baeksang Arts Awards 2022 will be held on May 6 at 7:45 p.m. KST.
