Just when we thought the Fairy Tail series was over, Mashima’si fans revived it with “Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest.” It’s exciting to see new faces and embark on new adventures. Furthermore, this manga is a continuation of the Fairy Tail series, starting from where it left off. So today, we have a lot to talk about, including the latest chapter, 125, which was released on January 25, 2023, and also the upcoming chapter. So let’s dive in.
This shonen manga is written by Hiro Mashima and illustrated by Atsuo Ueda and is published by Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket, with its first two chapters released in July 2018. There have been thirteen volumes since then, with the most recent volume being released in November 2022. Its anime adaptation has also been announced at a fan meeting in September 2021. So we can expect the anime series very soon.
This story begins with three new mages who have recently joined Fairy Tail. One of them, a girl by the name of Touka, was left behind as two of them instantly left because they were afraid. She joined the guild after Natsu saved her life, and she’s now madly in love with him. Unfortunately for her, Natsu is not present at the guild.
He is engaged in a quest called the 100-year quest, which has not been finished since the establishment of guilds. This mission now includes the entire primary crew, including Ezra, Gray, Lucy, Wendy, Happy, and Charle. The group set out towards the continent of Giritina to begin this mission, where they faced off against the oldest guild ever known. Additionally, there is a dragon by the name of Elefseria.
Elefseria is similar to Acnologia in that he was formerly a dragon slayer who transformed into a dragon. In order to vanquish and seal the five dragon gods, he acquired magic for slaying dragons. He failed, which is why he changed his mission into a quest. Elefseria declares that they are his last hope after discovering that Natsu was the one who defeated Acnologia, and the crew accepts the task with grins on their faces.
Elefseria then reveals the location of their first adversary, the water dragon god Merkphobia. Elefseria asserts that he is in Elmina because everyone there worships him. He adds that the crew would receive a wish as a reward for finishing the 100-year quest. He will grant them whatever they desire, and the crew then depart to Elmina.
Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest Chapter 125 Recap: Spoilers
In this chapter, Wendy and Lucy, in particular, are kind of geeking out over all the books in the library, which is the top library in all of Fiore. The Sabertooth Library receives books from all across the world; there were even Guiltina books. Since they also have a small Google search feature, it actually aids in their search.
By typing the title and subjects of the book, it will therefore fly in their direction. Natsu sort of uses this to look up Lucy’s book; he is delighted about it but admits to the fact that he hasn’t read it yet. The fact that Lucy’s book was kept in one of the largest libraries in the world made her feel both embarrassed and delighted. Natsu was just trying to goof around while Lucy was trying to keep them in check.
Gray also appeared to search for books on how to respect women, more specifically Juvia. There is no doubt that his affection for her is intensifying every day. However, Sorano, who was speaking off-screen, instructed them to maintain silence. She had become a part of Sabertooth, as we had seen. The conversations between Sting, Sorano, Jellal, and Erza are next discussed.
Sorano basically made an effort to embarrass Jellal and Erza by asking about their relationship, whether they wanted children, and other relevant questions, but the two simply rejected it. Additionally, Sorano attempted to lure Sting, but Sting was simply uninterested. Later on, they discussed the white wizard that Jellal had mentioned and was searching for at the beginning of the 100-year quest.
They continue to discuss the information they learned from the earlier arcs, which revealed that an exceed by the name of Touka once existed in the world of Elentear. She was assimilated by the white mage Faris, and she eventually arrived on this one in an effort to use the magic that is overflowing there to try to save her homeworld.
For that reason, she essentially used the white wizard’s authority in this world to try to save her world, notably by taking advantage of the rebellion’s leader. She seized the chance to take over as leader of the fundamental cult, which had gotten worse as a result of the white wizard. The black wizard Zeref and the actual founder of the rebellion were thought to be rivaled by the white wizard.
Sorano is aware of her location. According to Joel, the threat is not as great as it was with Touka. Sorano effectively stated that there is more to the story and that they should probably pay attention. The news that the golden owl was essentially linked with the white magician really astounded Erza. The white wizard Athena is both a wizard and a weapon.
