Jinx Chapter 13 will continue with our protagonist’s descent into helplessness as he is forced to live with his demon, literally. Dan had started to get his life together a little after being employed by Jaekyung. Though he would rather not be associated with him he had to admit that the money was good and was paying bills. He had been worried about her grandma, her only family ever since responsibility fell on him. This does not mean he made good financial decisions.
Dan had been able to pay a lot of his debts thanks to the money gets from Jaehyung. Though the experience is excruciating for his mind and soul, his other needs are being met. He is willing to let his dignity be sacrificed if it means that his grandmother can have a longer life. Though, a big influx of money means that people will notice and be attracted to him. And it was the case when the money Dan had owed from delinquents came charging at him for giving a lot of money out of nowhere.
Jinx Chapter 12 Recap
Jinx Chapter 12 showed that hope is slim for Dan even though Jakehyung had seen the kind of life he had seen Dan suffer. Things were starting to look like they will be alright when Jaekhyung visited Dan’s home. He was shocked to see the poor state of the area he lived in and the harsh environment around him. And it was then we saw for the first time to have MMA fighter show mercy to Dan, and take him to his home. Though he did it out of Dan being clingy towards him.
Dan had no memory of the incident or what happened to him after he was knocked out for drinking too much. When he came to he was in Jaekhyung’s bed but with no pain in his lower back. He was relieved for a while until he realise what kind of an animal his employer can be and left storming his place. This was the only time we saw Jaekhyung react calmly to a situation, a sign there was humanity in him.

Jinx Chapter 13 will have Jaekhyung take Dan into his house after learning about his situation. He is right to think that Dan was negligent in not taking care of his house when it comes to the demolition notice. But the situation is made complicated when Dan had been threatened to go to court if he doesn’t clear out on time. That and the former loan sharks threatening to hurt his grandma to get more money out of him.
Jaekhyung will deal with some of these issues later, but first, he will see to his desires for Dan. Dan, on the other hand, has almost lost how to feel safe anymore, his life had been hard but with Jaekhyung he shrinks down more. His eye had been swollen due to getting a bat in the face and he had to lie his way at the gym, but Jaekhyung squeezed the truth out of him.
