Episode 3 Recap – Riverside Murder
The Episode starts with a woman running afraid of something or someone and stops by a waterbody and takes a look behind. Suddenly, a huge sea monster (similar to One Punch Man’s Sea King) appears behind her, and we hear a loud death scream.
We see Wisteria and Marbas (in human form) arriving in Wennington, who are searching for a safe place to live their life as the church and his Knights brother are making trouble for them. We know that Wisteria is now sightless after serving his eyes to Marbas and making a pact.
Harriet, with his low low-level pion demon Maury, who looks like a cat, tries to pickpocket them but is caught by the demon lord. Marbas demands Harriet feed Wisteria with whatever she has in recompense for their action.
The very same night, Marbas informs Wisteria that they will leave from here tomorrow as he doesn’t want to get in any trouble. Marbas disclosed to her their destined place to reach, which is the District of Lakes, where his friend lives. Maury secretly listens to this conversation and doesn’t want them to leave this early.
We get to know Maury wants to feed Wisteria to the water monster in place of Harriet when both drive Wisteria around the town and finally near the water. The moment Harriet knows the truth, the water monster emerges and attacks.
The Sword Cross Knights come in at a time to tackle this. They behead it and kill him but receive a strong signal from Wisteria as she possesses a hair from Marbas. Before any more stuff, Marbas enters between them. There occurs a deadly popcorn fight between Marbas and the Knights.
Maury takes gunshots for Wisteria on him and injures himself. It is revealed Harriet is killed by the monsters, and it is her ghost with them saved by Maury due to their Pact. Harriet tells Maury to eat her soul and heal itself, then gets absorbed in Maury. The episode ends with Marbas expressing his views and how his perspective changed towards humans after meeting Wisteria and now witnessing Harriet’s situation.
