Roswell, New Mexico was canceled after four seasons by The CW, amid a Thursday carnage that saw six shows axed. This has left fans in deep thoughts about what might be the reasons behind the cancellation of the show all of a sudden. Season four is however set to premiere soon. But there will be no more storylines involving Liz Ortecho and Max Evans on the network after that.
The CW’s adaptation of Melinda Metz’s Roswell High series of young adult novels, Roswell, New Mexico, followed in the footsteps of the popular Roswell from 1999. The sitcom, starring Jeanine Mason and Dean Parsons as Liz and Max, follows the former as she comes home to Roswell after losing her biomedical research grant to work in her family’s cafe. Liz, the daughter of two undocumented immigrants, returns home to learn that her high school crush Max has been an alien the entire time, hiding his abilities from everyone.
She reconnects with him and pledges to protect his identity. Although following a brutal attack, concerns of a larger alien presence grow, instilling fear and hostility in the public. And that puts Max in danger. But the Roswell, New Mexico is now canceled after four seasons.
About the Cast

The series changed from the original 1999 program in that it focused on older, more adult versions of the characters rather than teenagers. Although the central relationship between Liz and Max remained. After four seasons, Roswell, New Mexico has been canceled.
Release Date Roswell, New Mexico Season 4
The one bright spot for fans is that the series will not be ending anytime soon, as another season is about to begin. It also means that the tumultuous Season 3 conclusion, in which Shiri Appleby, who portrayed Liz in the original Roswell, made a surprise cameo, will not be left hanging. Appleby had previously directed a few episodes of the show. But she is set to take on a larger role in the future season and bring answers to that conclusion. This will be leaving plenty to look forward to before Roswell, New Mexico goes dark for good.
Dynasty, Charmed, In the Dark, Naomi, and 4400 were among the shows canceled by the network on Thursday. After four seasons, Roswell, New Mexico has been canceled, the fourth is generating a lot of buzzes, and will finally air on June 6.
