Actor Michael Angarano is back as director for the road trip comedy movie, Sacramento. The film stars Michael Cera, Kristen Stewart, and Maya Erskine. Ahead of its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, the movie has released its first look.

With its comedic storyline and talented cast, Sacramento promises to entertain audiences. The official description reads: “When free-spirited Ricky reappears in father-to-be Glenn’s life, the two friends take a spontaneous road trip from LA to Sacramento in this fresh take on buddy comedy.”

Besides Angarano, Cera, Stewart, and Erskine, the cast also includes AJ Mendez, Iman Karram, and Rosalind Chao in unspecified roles. Angarano co-wrote the script with actor-writer Chris Smith.
This movie marks Angarano’s return to directing since 2017’s “Avenues,” where he also wrote, directed, and acted. His notable appearances include Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” and the sitcom “Will & Grace.”
Cera recently starred in “Barbie” and will appear in “Sausage Party: Foodtopia” among other projects. Stewart’s recent success includes “Love Lies Bleeding,” while Erskine was last seen in “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
