Studio Eclypse recently announced on their official X (formerly Twitter) account that the new trailer for their project will be released in May 2024. The trailer revealing for Berserk: The Black Swordsman came with a fresh key visual titled “Day of the Eclypse.”
This independent studio revealed their plans in October 2023 to create a 2D adaptation of neglected Berserk stories, starting from the beginning with pre-production already underway. They even shared a teaser trailer on X.
In an earlier tweet, Studio Eclypse disclosed that the Berserk trailer and behind-the-scenes footage would be showcased live during Otakufest in Saltillo, Mexico, scheduled for May 18 and 19. They assured fans unable to attend that the trailer would also be uploaded to their social media accounts.

Additionally, Studio Eclypse is adapting the fan-made manga AoTnoRequiem into an anime titled “Attack on Titan: Requiem,” slated for release in Fall 2024.
Berserk manga has a rich history of adaptations, including anime series, movies, and video games. The first anime in 1997 covered the Golden Age arc but faced criticism for its inconsistent animation quality.
In 2012, Studio 4°C released a movie trilogy, “Berserk: The Golden Age Arc,” with improved visuals but received backlash for its use of CGI animation. The 2016-2017 anime series by GEMBA and Millepensee also faced criticism for its heavy reliance on CGI and rushed pacing.un
