Grimsburg is an American comedy-animation TV series produced by Bento Box Entertainment and The Jackal Group. The series was created by Catlan McClelland and Matthew Schlissel and distributed to Fox Network.
Catlan McClelland has not worked on major projects before Grimsburg, so he is planning to make a name for himself with his work in the animation series.
Matthew Schlissel is an actor, writer, and producer who has previously worked on two short film projects titled Swim and The Father. Both the creators are waiting for their big-screen debut with Grimsburg.
The series had created a lot of buzz before its debut, as Grimsburg had already been renewed for a second season prior to the premiere of its first season.
Grimsburg explores the investigation of dark crimes such as murder, kidnapping, and finding the missing bagels in the faculty break room.
The series is produced by executive producer Jon Hamm, who also voiced the series’ main character, Marvin Flute.
Actress, writer, and producer Erinn Hayes has joined the cast as the character Harmony Flute. Alan Tudyk voiced the character Dr. Rufis Pentos.
American actress Wendi McLendon-Covey has joined the cast of Grimsburg as the character Chief Patsy Stamos.
Kevin Michael Richardson is voicing the character Detective Greg Summers, followed by actress Rachel Dratch, who has voiced the character Stan Flute.
American voice actor and musician Greg Chun has lent his voice to the character of Lieutenant John Kang. Hend Baghdady is the executive producer of the series, along with Gail Berman, Chadd Gindin, and Connie Tavel.
The music score for Grimsburg is composed by Jesse Novak, who is notably known for his work in the animation TV series BoJack Horseman and Tuca & Bertie.
The storyboard for the series is done by Steven K.L. Olson, who is best known for his work in Family Guy. Meanwhile, Hans Ranum is responsible for the original character design of the series.
Grimsburg Plot
The entire series is based on a town called Grimsburg, where detective Marvin Flute, who considers himself the world’s smartest detective, investigates the most gruesome cases in town.
The residents of the town believe that everywhere Marvin goes, crimes follow him. Lieutenant Kang knocked on Marvin’s door when he was staying over at the Putitt Inn one fine morning.
Marvin knocked up a man because he stuck his head in the window and kept calling him a failure. Marvin considered Lieutenant Kang to be his college alumni donation department because he could somehow track him down anywhere.
Lieutenant Kang came up to him with a new case that he believed only Marvin could solve. He informed Marvin that there was an opening for him on the cornhole team. However, Marvin reminded him that Lieutenant Kang had taken his badge.
Marvin told him he was not interested in the case and mentioned that he was planning to get back to the only thing he was good at, which was drinking himself to death.
Along with painstakingly crafting the mid-century, modern dollhouse furniture. Lieutenant Kang somehow managed to manipulate him to get back his badge by solving the bizarre, unsolvable case.
Marvin changed his mind and decided to go back to Grimsburg, the town he had left behind, just to run away from his job.
