One Piece anime has finally entered a new arc, Egghead Island, after four years of airing of Wano arc. No one can deny that Wano was one of THE best arcs in One Piece, where we get to see some next-level action sequences.
Just take a moment and thank all the animators who worked so hard in delivering this arc since we know the animation quality just scaled up when we entered the Wano arc, whether it might be Zoro vs. King, Sanji vs. Queen, Kid & Law vs. Bigmom, Luffy vs. Kaido, etc.
All this was well paid off. Most of you might even say the best of One Piece so far. However, what if I would say Egghead is even better? Yes, you read it right, Egghead Island will be even better than the Wano arc. And that is what we will be discussing in this article.
Ever since the start of Egghead Island, Oda has been constantly giving us some insane moments, and this arc could very well be like a top-tier arc in One Piece. Now, I don’t know about an exact placement, but if it concludes, we hope it will this could be an insane placement for this Arc.
Egghead Island will reveal some of the dark secrets in One Piece with one of the best backstories. Not only that, but we will also have many action sequences throughout this arc. 2024 is going to be a really exciting year for all the One Piece fans.
Events that will happen on Egghead Island
One Piece anime episode 1085 ended in manga’s chapter 1057, aka Wano ending. The first thing we got revealed during this arc was the new bounties.
1. New bounties that will be revealed at the start of Egghead Island
- Chopper – 1000 Berries
- Jewelry Bonney – 320 Million Berries
- Nami – 366 Million Berries
- Brook – 383 Million Berries
- Franky – 394 Million Berries
- Usopp – 500 Million Berries
- Robin – 930 Million Berries
- Sanji – 1.032 Billion Berries
- Jinbe – 1.100 Billion Berries
- Roronoa Zoro – 1.111 Billion Berries
- Boa Hancock – 1.659 Billion Berries
- Crocodile – 1.965 Billion Berries
- Luffy, Kid, and Law – 3 Billion Berries
- Buggy – 3.189 Billion Berries
- Mihawk – 3.590 Billion Berries
- Blackbeard – 3.996 Billion Berries
Zoro, Jinbe, and Sanji have the top three, with the lowest being Chopper at 1,000 berries. Next, we had what was maybe the most unexpected team-up in the series, The Cross Guild.
2. Buggy, Mihawk, and Crocodile’s Team Up
Obviously, having Crocodile making his way back into the fold, which I think everyone really loved to see, as well as Mihawk being on his first crew that we’ve seen in the series, and of course, the quote-unquote face of this group, Buggy, the clown.
I was so hyped seeing this, as this group is definitely going to make some noise very soon, and I guess they keep adding some new members, hopefully.
3. Blackbeard Invasion to Amazon Lily
The next big thing we have is our first introduction to the Seraphim. Seraphim are nothing but the androids of the Seven Warlords made by Vegapunk. We then have Blackbeard pulling up to Amazon Lily as he wants to take Boa’s devil fruit, Mero Mero no Mi.
And he would have succeeded in it if the legend himself, the Dark King, aka Rayleigh, really didn’t pull up and try and stop him, which Blackbeard would have won, but it wouldn’t have been a tough fight for him, so he just left.
4. Luffy’s REAL Goal & Imu’s True Power
Next up, we get the moment of Luffy telling his crew what he wants the end of his dream to be, which we still don’t even know up to this point in the series. In an attempt to silence Sabo, Imu nuked the island that he was on, but the attempt ultimately failed, and it really showed what Imu was truly capable of.
5. Blackbeard Vs Law
In Chapter 1063, we are shown that Blackbeard and Law were facing off against each other, and really, at the time, this is really insane, as literally everyone’s rooting for Law to put up a good fight, and at the point they left us off, it was a bit Justified.
6. Vega Punk Reveal & Luffy Gear 5 Vs Lucci
Now, in chapter 1066, after almost 700 chapters, Vega Punk has finally been officially revealed and is shown to have a history with Dragon himself. Then, of course, we got Rob Luchi returning in his awakened form and getting absolutely violated by Luffy in Gear Five. Funny enough, people thought this fight was actually going to be somewhat close, but I guess for Lucci, it is pretty impressive.
7. Garp Vs Aokiji
In chapter 1071, it’s shown that Kizaru is headed to Egghead Island, foreshadowing Luffy’s first real encounter and fair fight with an admiral, as well as Garp versus Aokiji beginning in this chapter as well.
8. Kid Versus Shanks Rematch
To be honest, this is my personal favorite moment that happened during Egg Head Island. After fighting the Yonkai/Emperor, Kid gets a little high on his toes and decides to fight Shanks once again.
So, In One Piece chapter 1079, we have a rematch of Shanks versus Kid, where Kid goes to attack Shacks, thinking that he could actually defeat him this time. However, Shanks gets kind of angry, I guess, and shows what it’s like to face a Yonkai/Emperor.
He defeats Kid using his Haki. With just one attack, Divine Departure, Kid, and Killer (who was trying to protect Kid from Shanks’ attack) get knocked out. And the Elbaf giants toss the whole crew.
9. Sabo trying to Rescue Cobra
From Chapter 1083 to Chapter 1086, we show what happened to Sabo when he went to rescue Cobra, and Figarland Garling is also in this chapter.
In chapters 1087 through 1088, we get the continuation of Garp versus Aokiji, which ended up being a pretty emotional fight with Aokiji being Victor. And it’s pretty heavily implied that either both of them were holding back, or just Aokiji was holding back.
10. Monkey D. Luffy V/S Admiral Kizaru
In chapter 1089, we got to look at the crew of the Marines that would be headed to Egghead Island with Kizaru and Saturn on board as well. Then, finally, in 1091, we get the long-awaited rematch of Monkey D. Luffy versus Admiral Kizaru.
This brought some insane hype into the community, which at this time was a very contentious debate on who would win. In the next few chapters, we would see the continuation of this fight up until Luffy and Kizaru stalemate each other, and Saturn enters the island and shows off his new form, or, I guess, a form that’s new to us.
11. Kuma’s Past
Then, from chapters 1095 to the latest chapter, we have some pretty awesome flashbacks to God Valley, as well as what may be the saddest story in One Piece involving Kuma, Ginny, and Dragon.
And I can pretty much say that everyone enjoyed pretty much all of this flashback. And that has left us up to the last chapter. And then, we will have chapter 1100, in which hopefully we get one of the greatest moments in One Piece from Dragon doing something absolutely insane, and if not Dragon, I’m sure Oda has something great planned.
