Even though I have become a side character, I’m being adored by an overprotective Duke, an original Japanese manga available to read in Japanese on the website Ncode Syosetu. It was released in the year 2020 and has since then gotten several fans due to it being a full-color manga and following the themes of romance, drama, and fantasy and is based on the story of a frictional royal family.

This manga follows the unfortunate reincarnation of just a secondary character named Leticia in an Otome Game. Her husband is a charming and good-looking Duke. She ended up with Duke named Lionel all because of a plan hatched by her sister. Her twin sister planned this all, and thus Leticia ended up in such a place. But maybe such a place is not all that bad and might be good for her.

As we impatiently wait till the new episode is out, we cannot gush over how amazing the whole manga has been. At the same time, we have to applaud the art and story for being consistent throughout their releases as per schedule. What is the plot of Even though I become a side character, I’m being adored by an overprotective Duke?

This manga is centered around a popular Otome Game. Where due to reincarnation as just a side character and not even a main character, named Leticia ends up with a fiance who is just a Duke. But even though Duke Lionel is not that good-looking, she takes it upon herself to improve him because she knows he has a good heart. Soon she ends up falling for him, both how he is on the inside and how he is on the outside.

In the previous chapter, that is Chapter 12, the Young Lady of Lambert is stopped and asked by a young fan if she would like to be shown around the academy. She is embarrassed, so Alexia takes up the offer, and he says that the offer is only for Leticia, so Alexia scares him.

Alexia tells Leticia since she cannot stay around her all the time, she should take care of herself and stay out of trouble. Leticia listens to Alexia and giggles before responding with an okay. As she is done with class, she is lost in thought about her studies at the academy.

She happens upon Lady Diana for studying at the academy while being an orphan, only to be adopted by the Baron later. Leticia rescues her from trouble, as she is the heroine in the game, by making up an excuse that they have lunch plans together.

Leticia takes Diana to a bench. They sit down, and Diana is comforted by Leticia. Leticia blurts out about Otome Games, and they both as each other if they know what the Otome Games are.
