The Oval tells us a tale of prominent characters present within the White House. Starting Franklin Hunter, who is the president of America, is vested with a heavy interest in growing his connections with other characters. He spends more time on growing his affairs than growing the entire nation. Next up, we have Victoria Franklin, who is the wife of the President and the first lady of the United States. Victoria’s character is portrayed as a smart woman who knows how to get things done.
The relationship between these powerful couples goes back to their university. Victoria chose Franklin to be her partner years ago and had it all planned to become one of the most powerful figures in all of the USA. Franklin might be the president and the man behind the operation in the eyes of the public. But it is Victoria who influences his actions and makes things work from his behind. Victoria was from a very powerful background before, and her actions throughout the series support this fact.
We then have the first children, Jason and Gayle, who have interesting attitudes of their own. Jason is the brother who likes to doze off and roam all around the white house while using his power to bend things to his interest. Gayle is that one sister who has a rebellious character and acts the opposite of what was told by her parents.
Then we have the butler of the entire family, Richard Hallsen, who is the most experienced character. He has been serving the White House and its constantly changing inhabitants for quite a while now. The character is accompanied by his wife named, Nancy Hallsen, who has a special love for her family.
Lastly, we have other characters of less importance, like Sam Owens, who is the lead secret serviceman, and his only wife, Priscilla. We have another character named Donald Winthrop, the chief of staff who is well-known for his strictness among his subordinates. He is accompanied by another man 0f the same nature named Kyle Flint. The story of the Oval revolves around the dark and interesting side of the White House and its fictional inhabitants in the world of Tyler Perry.
