TvN’s most energetic women will be coming together for another fun-filled season of Earth Arcade. From traveling all over the world to experiencing different cultures and food, the show features all kinds of entertaining tasks for these four Earth Warriors who are on the lookout for the runaway rabbit, Torong.
The Korean show was first seen on television on June 24th, 2022, and was directed by Na Young Seok, the creator behind other shows like Comic Bros, Unexpected Yuh Jung, and Jinny’s Kitchen. The first season’s poster featured the cast in a futuristic agent theme, but this time, they chose a very Indiana Jones-like poster, possibly hinting towards the kinds of tasks we’ll be seeing this season.
Seeing the first season become a huge hit, the producers started working on the new season earlier this year in January. Although no news was announced about the participating celebrities, it was rumored that the second season would consist of the same cast members. What was different this time was the filming locations, which seemed to be taking place in cold places full of ice. This is much different from what we saw in the last season of Earth Arcade, where the four cast members were taken all way back to the warm tropical places in Thailand.
This one-of-a-kind Variety show has been praised for its fresher themes which stand out from the rest of the shows and seem to feature repurposed plots. If you’re looking for a show that’ll get you laughing at every other part, Earth Arcade is the way to go. Each episode usually begins with the women having to play different games to complete the given task. The games we were able to see in the previous seasons include Shouting in Silence and Morning Mission, to name a few.
Earth Arcade: Season 2’s Cast
Asides from being known for its absorbing tasks, Earth Arcade, is also known for the amazing chemistry between all of its members. The cast’s cheerfulness is infectious, and none of the members are left behind during each task. Since the same celebrities from season 1 will be returning for Earth Arcade season 2, the cast of the show will be Ahn Yu Jin, Mimi, Lee Young Ji, and Lee Eun Ji.
Ahn Yu Jin is a member of the K-pop group IZ*ONE, which sadly disbanded in 2021. She is now a member of IVE and is managed by Starship Entertainment. Being just 19, Ahn Yu Jin is filled with ambition and charm and mixes well with the other members of the series. Ahn Yu Jin has also worked in other shows like My Alcohol Diary and Season B’s Season 2.
Mimi, who is a popular singer from Oh My Girl, will be returning for season 2. She is known for her skilled rapping and has worked in other shows like Heart Signal, Quiz Alarm, and Oh My Girl Stress Things. Lee Young Ji is a 20-year-old rapper who is known for her hit song “Dark Room.” The rapper has worked in a Korean drama called Zombie Detective and has been a part of variety shows like Show Me The Money and Bread Is My Life. Lee Eun Ji is a well-known comedian who often adds most of the fun in Earth Arcade.
