The other survivors suffered from emotional anguish and gave up all hope of ever being able to go back home. Father Khatri was assaulted by one of these beasts that night and perished in Boyd’s hands.
Sara was the sole individual who could communicate with these beings, and Father Khatri believed that through her, they were going to be able to learn more about this obscure domain and the demons that lived inside of it.
Father Khatri had imprisoned Sara on the lower floor of his makeshift church but didn’t want to kill her. Boyd decided to take a chance on his life and accompany Sara into the jungle in order to carry out Father Khatri’s final desire after learning that he had Parkinson’s disease, just like his father before him.
Boyd was driven to uncover the truth, but while he was away, his wife, Abby, went insane and started shooting individuals. Boyd shot Abby when she aimed a gun at her son Ellis in an attempt to defend Ellis. Ellis never forgives his father for abandoning her when she needed him most.
Boyd lost interest in his own curiosity and began to concentrate on safeguarding individuals and assisting them in acclimating to their new environment. As Tabitha continued to dig at the house, the ground beneath her exposed a secret tunnel.

Boyd and Sara, who had spent the night in the woods, saw a strange bright light and came under attack, but the talisman shielded them. The very next day, they discovered themselves in a spider-web-covered woodland.
Boyd immediately had images of his departed spouse, Abby, entangled in a web. A group of spiders grabbed Boyd when he attempted to save her, and one of them bit him as well.
Boyd experienced a supernatural encounter that left him feeling dizzy from spider poisoning. Boyd was persuaded by Sara to remain optimistic, especially because they were so close to their destination. As a result, they continued to pursue the source of light and eventually came upon a lighthouse and the sounds of horns honking.
