James Spader will be returning this week with a new episode of the crime series, The Blacklist. Being the final season, producers have made sure that all the final cases we’ll be seeing this time are intricate and cleverly executed plans all performed by skilled criminals.
It’s hard to believe a group of mere pickpocketers could disarm the SS agents and endanger a senator, but that’s exactly what happened in the last episode of The Blacklist. First seen in the year 2013, the show focuses on Raymond Reddington, a high-profile criminal who agrees to comply with what the wants FBI in exchange for providing him freedom from going to jail.
Throughout his years working as a criminal, Raymond conjures up a list of top criminals who would be valuable assets to the FBI. After the 8th season, the plot of the show shifted towards a different storyline, with Megan Boone (Elizabeth Keen) no longer being a part of The Blacklist.
The current and final season of the Jon Bokenkamp series has been airing since February 26th, 2023. With talented actors like Beginner’s Guide to Jujutsu Kaisen! and Harry Lennix being the main characters in the ongoing season, it’s no surprise that the show has managed to gather more than a million views in just a few episodes.
What Happened in Previous Episodes of The Blacklist Season 10?
In previous episodes, we see the Senator ending another event but is unaware of a criminal being there with her. Harold comes to the event to support her but their small talk is ruined when someone takes out a gun and causes chaos within the area. The secret service agents notice that all of their guns and communicating equipment were gone.
Harold meets up with Red and notices his new home which is a bathhouse. He asks why he summoned him, to which Raymond replies that he wants to talk about the earlier events where the senator was almost assassinated. Raymond thinks that the highly skilled way the guns and equipment were taken away could mean that pickpockets were involved.
Red explains about a certain group of apex predators who know the exact ways to steal from their victim without leaving any trace of themselves behind. Harold starts to believe that this could have been a highly coordinated ambush. The group is known to be called The Four Guns and Raymond claims they were working with someone else to make Cynthia vulnerable.
Expecting another attack to happen soon, Harold heads back o his team and starts the investigation for the pickpocket gang. They believe that catching The Four Guns would lead them to the actual perpetrator who was working alongside them. Back at the hideout, the man responsible for the crime asks The Four Guns to continue working with him in pursuit of “Liberty.” He taps in on a secret conversation that happens between the senator and other people.
Raymond buys a Victorian-era book containing arsenic to gift to Robert who’s in prison. At Harold’s office, the team can find half a fingerprint which is of no help in determining the location of the criminals. They ask for Raymond’s help who contacts someone who could easily extract the skin cells and sweat from the print and extract DNA from it.
After analysis, the suspect is found to be Quentin, a long-time criminal. They interrogate him but he denies ever being involved in such a crime. Harold asks Cynthia to stop the debate but she disagrees. Raymond threatens Quentin and he finally reveals the location of the shooter. At the prison, Robert faces the effects of arsenic poisoning.
