1. Before making his idol debut, Taehyun was already working in the entertainment industry. Working as a child model, Taehyun has been a part of several commercials in South Korea. He got so popular that by the age of six, the idol ready had a fan cafe dedicated to him. At the age of ten, the idol made his first appearance on SBS News and went viral for his striking visuals (especially his big doe eyes) and the unavoidable charisma. Some of the brands that Taehyun has worked for as a child model include PORORO Computer, Teun Teun English, and Dettol Handwash. He also used to do educational videos teaching kids how to speak English.
2. Unlike many other idols who are cast on a busy street, spotted by a company exec because of their visuals. Taehyun had actually received a message from an unknown number. But the twist was that the idol hadn’t really given out his number. The text message said that they came because they had heard rumors about him. It turned out that the Big Hit Entertainment employee went directly to Taehyun’s school and waited for him outside.
