Boys Planet is a popular reality competition series produced by Mnet in South Korea. Every Thursday since its February 2, 2023, 20:00 KST debut, it has been shown on Mnet. Starting on February 16, 2023, the show will air at 20:50 KST.
The singers usually take part in numerous tasks and evaluations, like voice and dance performances, in a normal Boys Planet episode. The judges and industry experts will also provide the trainees with feedback and criticism as they evaluate their abilities and potential as K-pop idols.
As they live and train in the same facility, the players will also have the opportunity to connect and form relationships with one another. While some trainees may fail to handle the strong competition and pressure throughout the program, others might show off their skills and advance to the top of the rankings.

Concept of the show:
Boys Planet has a space motif; the K-Group and G-Group participant groupings serve as “planets,” and the “Star Masters” who host the program is referred to as such. Contestants must undergo multiple rounds of examination under the supervision of seven “Masters,” during which they must display their prowess in singing, dancing, and rapping.
98 participants from varied backgrounds were chosen for the competition out of thousands of applicants. They were then divided evenly into the K-Group and the G-Group. The program is a follow-up to Parasite Movie Ending Explained: What Happened To The Kim Family? (2021). However, this time, the contestants are all men.
The audience, known as the “Star Makers,” chooses the ultimate debut line-up, who vote for their favorite trainees after each round.
The Mnet Plus mobile app will serve as the main hub for voting and gaining access to contestant-related content. In contrast to Girls Planet 999, where viewers had to vote for each group separately, this time, the votes will be given to specific participants and distributed evenly between the two groups.
Samil PricewaterhouseCoopers, an outside organization, is auditing the voting technology to ensure fairness and transparency throughout the voting process, from aggregation to results.

Viewers’ reactions to the program were conflicted; some praised it for exposing the trainees’ talent and labor of love, while others berated it for its harsh and competitive atmosphere. Some questioned the morality of putting teenage trainees against one another for entertainment and complained that the show was comparable to other K-pop survival shows.
The competitors will encounter another difficult predicament in the following episode. The conflict between the original G-group and K-Pop will go on. But, they will be in a challenging situation because the new mission isn’t simple. Some people will struggle, while others will relish the victory.
The group will experience some hot times in the meanwhile. The new G-group must demonstrate their dancing skills; some are amusing, while others will astound the audience. Unfortunately, someone will ultimately be eliminated from the competition, shocking everyone in the process.
The performance has been going really well. As it is only the first episode, there hasn’t been any malicious editing, which is nice, and all the bolt groups are getting a similar amount of screen time. The new star system, in which you rate yourself and then receive a new rating, is quite wonderful.
Also, even though we already know the centers and the final grades following the here I am assessment, it is still exciting, and you still experience anxiety.
The popularity of Mnet’s “Boys Planet” has generated a lot of buzz. When its first episode debuted on February 2, it immediately surpassed all other non-drama TV shows to claim the top spot for the program that produced the most talk.
Although it is tough to sit still for more than three hours, the show is enjoyable to watch. All the elements—the music selection, the staging, the expressions—are expertly executed by the stars. It can be a little insulting to watch the judges get worked up over trivial matters, but if the show is full of talent, who cares?
Once more, each variety show has its unique flaws and issues, but they came across them pretty well.
Ultimately, Boys Planet is a typical instance of a K-pop survival program that emphasizes the cutthroat nature of the entertainment industry. It’s crucial to keep in mind that these shows are mostly for entertainment and may not accurately depict the reality of the industry or the lives of the stars, even while they may provide viewers with a look into the K-pop industry and the dedication needed to become a successful K-pop idol.
The tv show is worth checking out if you are a fan of K-pop and wanna know more about the idol-making process.
