The streets of India are going to be safe again when Riyaz Pathan aka RP and his crew are back to protect them against crime rings, terrorists, and other hoodlums just as the sophomore season of the web series Crackdown makes its way to the small screen. Developed by the famous Apporva Lakhia, and starring Saqib Saleem, Shriya Pilgaonkar, and Mohammed Iqbal Khan, this Indian spy thriller in a short format of 30 minutes promises to keep delivering the action and intrigue that its debut season delivered with the same quality and level of editing, cinematography from the hands of Fasahat Khan, music delivered from the talented Amar Mohile, impeccable scriptwriting and shot on real locations, we can expect a terrific second season.
Ahead of the second season debut, we learned from lead actor Saqib Saleem that the action coming our way is going to be exciting, as he shared how he prepared for the role by taking an intense course on martial arts, firearm handling, and tactical maneuvers to add even more layers of realism to the spy thriller soon to land on OTT platforms. Also, Shriya Pilgaonkar who plays double agent Divya Shirodkar also learned a few moves to better deliver her performance in the upcoming season. What To Expect From Crackdown Season 2?
Crackdown’s second season is expected to pick things up right where they left off from the debut. Zorawar Kalra finds out that his wife is an ISI agent named Mausam Masoud and not Garima as he thought. As such, Zorawar (played by Mohammed Iqbal Khan) will have to face shame and guilt from falling prey to that deception, which puts in danger his life, and must bring Garima (played by Waluscha de Sousa) to a reckoning.
As the series unfolds, we’ll likely see the incorporation of new characters to expand the story arc of the current ones, like what are Garima’s motivations and weak points that Zorawar could exploit in order to save face. Expect more action sequences, more special forces display, and great stunts from the main cast, who prepared and trained in martial arts and weapons handling to bring more levels of realism to the show. Also, the inclusion of a new antagonist will bring newer and tougher challenges to the RAW team who will go to great lengths to protect the public from the threats of terror and organized crime.
