The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 9 is titled “The Troll Farmer Part Three”. Will this be the Troll Farmer Conclusion? Could be, I mean, we looked at those press photos and whoa, some stuff is coming up.
According to the synopsis Task Force will work on recovering a priceless government asset and Red will come up with an idea and a plan to find the culprits. I mean, the synopsis gives away almost nothing, and the promo gives nothing.
But those photos are very telling. I mean, the one that really sticks with me is Wujing looks like he is in the Post Office holding Reddington. My God, what is happening? It was really a shocking photo. How dare you, Wujing for starters, that hat is not yours, you give it back to its rightful owner.
This got to be one of the first times in recent memory where we’ve had almost nothing from the Synopsis, and the promo. Literally, they’ve been using the same promo for weeks, and we are back to that.
We’ll talk a bit about these photos, whatever the endgame plan is. Like did Reddington expect Wujing to go to the task force? What is happening? We also have a full review of The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 8, where we got into quite an interesting theory about whether or not this is the real Reddington after all this time.
The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 9 Spoilers
Based on The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 9 photos, it looks like Wujing is in The post office. It looks like in another photo that Reddington is like holding up a weapon, He’s got his arms raised, sort of like he is surrendering. Yeah, he’s kind of holding a handkerchief that looks like a white handkerchief, like he’s like, “I surrender”. I don’t know, I feel that feels kind of to me like Reddington is not taking this seriously at all.
I mean there is a lot going on and even in a photo where it looks like Reddington and Siya are having a bit of a deeper, possibly heated discussion. He’s like pointing at her and are they talking about her mother? There’s a lot that looks like is gonna be going down in The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 9, which makes sense. Especially after this last episode where Reddington was like this plan is all coming together in 72 hours. It’s like, “OK, well then I expect this episode to have a lot happening in it”.
This show is not 24, it’s not going to take a full season to get to a specific point in time. Like, I don’t even think they’re doing the Succession thing where they’re really like taking it very slowly. I anticipate and I could be wrong, this is just a theory, but I feel like these 72 hours are going to come to pass within this Troll Farmer Part Three episode and this is where we’re actually going to see whatever it is that what Reddington has been planning over this last little while.
Is This Reddington’s Plan?
I’m feeling more confident after seeing these photos my theory about Reddington building a new post office has to be true if Wujing is standing in the post office holding Reddington’s hat. I think he had to have known to some degree that eventually this was going to happen. Like I think we can all assume that Wujing is smart and he’ll probably get one over on Reddington at some point.
But we’ve just seen 10 seasons of this guy, and Red consistently has found a way to think 2 or 3 steps ahead of almost anybody else. So it’s just sort of like you’re playing a game of chess with somebody and you know that they’re going to move the Bishop to like this spot on the board, so you already have a counter move in place.
So if Reddington already knows that “OK, Wujing already knows a good bit about the task force, he’s going to figure out some more connections, and it’s only a matter of time. We probably knew that somebody would take a photo of something at some point that was going to be impossible to do. Then him coming to the task force is ultimately just bait and then at that point him doing the white flag, the handkerchief, and all this other stuff is just pure theater.
And he is assuming that Wujing’s not going to go in there just firing off on all cylinders and he’ll have a chance to do whatever the next part of his plan is.
Why Is Wujing At The Post Office?
A couple of episodes ago, we saw an episode that ended with one of Wujing’s guys talking to this other guy who’s part of a group of people who kill people that were connected to Marvin. But he’s in these photos too and it looks like he’s also at the post office.
So when I’m really sort of thinking about it like, Why is Wujing walking into the post office with this hat? Is he going in to tell the post office that basically this is over? Like “I’ve taken care of Reddington and look, I’ve got his hat”. What is the purpose at that point?
Because then it sort of feels as if he wanted, which is seemingly what he wants, to have evidence about Reddington being connected to the post office. Why would you come in with this hat and kind of be like, “Ah, look, he’s gone kind of thing, give me your information”? Like what is going on in that The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 9 photo? Why does he have Reddington hat? I don’t like it at all and I don’t like anything about it.
But I mean, it certainly creates interesting discussions, but all of this is very, very strange. Because for Wujing to go, unless somehow he is like brought to the post office, but it doesn’t look like he’s arrested or like anything.
No, it looks like he’s just shown up there, unless he’s shown up there to be like, “Listen, your asset is gone and this is what I’m here for and this is what I want. You’re all gonna die, and I’ve got this killer is here. You guys are all gonna go if you don’t give me what I want, which is I want immunity agreement or I want the agreement to be able to show everybody”, which is what I’m assuming he’s there for.
Is Wujing Being Reckless?
It’s just really reckless to me, if you are Wujing you’re going to go into a secret government facility and you don’t know how many guards there are there. I know how many people are in the post office seems to fluctuate depending on the episode. Sometimes it feels like there’s nobody there, but then in like this past episode, it seemed like there were like 50 extras in the background, so there could be a lot of people that will take you out losing unless you are bringing in there your entire, I don’t know, crew.
It’s gonna be really, really difficult for you to get what you want and then get out of there alive. But I just feel like Reddington has a plan. He’s got some sort of way to trip them up. Maybe he expects the entire post office is just going to go and that’s why he’s got the replacement one at the ready.
The Show Gave Us Enough Information
I am really excited about The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 9 after seeing that picture of Wujing with that hat and seeing that there’s, you know, it looks like he’s in that post office. I mean, this feels like this is really ramping up and as I said, it was kind of expected where in the last episode Reddington was like “Everything is coming together in 72 hours”. That’s like this episode then should be getting to that point where things are really coming together.
My only sort of worry is, did the show give us the audience enough of what is going on on Reddington’s side that it’s not like just a big reveal and there isn’t a little bit of maybe we could figure a couple of things out or have a little bit more to discuss where it’s just going to be, I don’t know.
But one of the things that I really like about this show is that they’ve done so beautifully over the years is give just enough for the audience to be able to have those deeper conversations to sometimes figure it out, sometimes not figure it out, but at least give us a little bit more of what Reddington is planning and they have not been doing that with this at all.
It’s really like he’s building something, but there hasn’t been enough information for anyone to really come together and be like “This is what his actual plan is to take down Wujing.” So who knows how it’s gonna really roll?
Is The Other Post Office An Diversion?
Let’s compare all this to a magic show for a moment where sometimes it’s fun to go and see a magician deliver a really awesome magic trick that leaves your jaw in the ground, but it’s also fun to go to some magicians I know where you see them do the trick, but then you find out how they did the trick and they sort of show you that. I want to see like that version of this with the Blacklist where Reddington is pulling off some sort of big trick and I want to know how he made it happen.
I think this is where in part the Troll Farmer comes back into play here where if he is going to try to lure Wujing down to the post office, is it possible then? Like I don’t know how the Troll Farmer’s gonna use the Internet to be like, “Oh, go to blah blah drive at this location or whatever else.
But I would have to assume at this point that he is somehow pretty important in either getting Wujing there or getting the task force over to the real new post office or wherever else they’re sort of trying to plan things out.
Maybe this whole scene that we’re seeing at the post office, maybe this isn’t the post office at all. Maybe Reddington has been building this other post office that’s intentionally the diversion post office that he is bringing them to, and that’s part of what’s going on so that the real one remains a secret.
It could be a mirror of the post office to bring Wujing there to take him down. It very well could be and I mean that seems more likely than how did Wujing find the post office in an episode.
Things Are Getting Started
There are still a lot of big questions that come about with this. 72 hours is not a lot of time. Like you gotta build something here, its construction is just not like, “Hey, whoop. It’s done.” I mean in the last episode he was talking to Phil, it was like “you didn’t accept my shipment of steel.” And then in 72 hours, something is built? Guys, I know that he’s been building for a little while, but if you’re still in the getting steel phase of it, I mean, I don’t know much about building, but I feel like maybe you’re still kind of in the middle of it.
I’m really excited for what’s coming up and this is a very weird comparison to the last season where it felt like last season it took a month before we really actually got going and I wish they had started things faster this season. I was kind of frustrated early on, but I’m glad to be on this right now and I am nervous, excited, and shocked about wherever this is going to go. We are here until the wheels fall off and hopefully, they do not fall off in this episode.
