House of the Dragon Episode 6 cast changes are huge and here, we shall discuss more the same. The series has been following the plot happening inside the Red Keep for 5 episodes now and has spanned over a considerable period of time. Episode 1 marked off the innocence that Rhaenyra and Allicent share as they are growing up in the presence of the royal household. We see how Rhaenyra is irresponsible and does not want to be a part of all such politics happening inside.
As for Allicent, she is a sweet little child who follows Rhaenyra around and adheres to the wishes of her father. In episode 2, we saw their bond growing even stronger after Queen Aemma dies and Rhaenyra feels truly neglected by everyone even her father because she is not the son that he always wanted. On the other hand, we also see Allicent meeting with The King in private and discussing the most random things to keep him company. This is also plotted by her father who wants her to become the Queen and is playing his cards right as the Hand.
Fast forward to episode 5, things have changed between Rhaenyra and Allicent obviously. The former has become the first female heir to the Iron Throne and Allicent is the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms after marrying the King. This has drifted the two apart because now, Rhaenyra cannot trust her anymore. Also, Allicent has responsibilities for taking care of her children in the Red Keep.
House of the Dragon Recap
The King finally has a son named Aegon with Allicent who has a strong claim to the Throne and might rise against Rhaenyra in the future. Although, till now, Allicent did not want to raise her children hating their half-sister. But everything has changed since Rhaenyra practically lied to her about her maidenhood.
Also, Allicent was naive to claim to the King and even doubt her own father for Rhaenyra saying that she trusts her as she swore to her not to sleep with Daemon. In Episode 5, we saw Queen Allicent, making a grand entrance in the royal hall during the event in the middle of the King’s speech. She has always been in the shadows but this time, it was all different. She was wearing green, the color that House Hightower uses while declaring war.
This obviously means that she has grown up and is taking responsibility for her life and children when her father is not present to play the cards. Rhaenyra has also grown up quiet as she has started to understand her duties as an heir and finally is marrying even though she does not wish to. This is the right now to jump into the future and make the necessary character changes. In the next episode, we will see the plot set 10 years in the future and some huge cast changes which are as follows.
