Gannibal is the new Japanese horror series that premiered on December 28, 2023. As soon as the series premiered on Disney+ and Hulu, it started creating hype for this new series. Gannibal is psycho-horror thriller series, and it is an adaption of the famous Japanese manga Penned, which Masaaki Ninomiya wrote.
Oscar-nominated Takamasa Oe and Teruhisa Yamamoto adapt this series. According to the show’s producer, Gannibal is the series that will stun you every moment. After each episode, this physical horror thriller will leave you stunned and make you think about family values and our own culture. The show is set in a fictional world, yet the theme is relatable.
The series features a talented Japanese cast like Yûya Yagira, who nailed the character almost perfectly, while Sho Kasamatsu and Riho Yoshioka will impress with their acting skills. All About Gannibal plot and story
The series is set in the small village of Kuge, situated in the mountain. Daigo Agawa, played by Yûya Yagira, is a police officer who had a major unforgettable incident and decided to shift with his daughter Mashiro and his wife Yuki in the remote area of Kuge.
The place is perfect to live and heal peacefully from the outside, but from the inside, the village is no less than a mysterious horror puzzle. The previous police officer here before Daigo has mysteriously disappeared from the town without coming into the local eyes.
The Goto family is the village’s landlord because they own most of the land. One day the locals found the body of an old age woman in the mountains. According to goto family, the lady has been killed by a wild bear.
But Diago found something unusual on her body. He notices a bite mark of a human on her arms. After that, Diago started his investigation. Will you be able to expose the truth? Are Goto’s family and villagers hiding something? This story creates the basic premises of the series, which will revolve around this plot.
Despite having a horror plot, Gannibal’s story is mainly driven by its characters. In the first two episodes, you will meet so many interesting characters. Some will give you positive vibes, while others will give you negative ones.

Gannibal’s first two episodes are already available. Out on Hulu and Disney+. Episode 1, “offering of flowers,” Started very promisingly, like any other show. How does Daigo land in the remote village of Kuge, and why did he come here with his family?
We learned about the mysterious goto family, who owns most of the land village, which is hiding something. By the end of episode 1, the story started to shape and made you think about what will happen in episode 2.
Episode 2 “Attack” Started getting tense at the beginning of the episode. The last two episodes of Ganniable give viewers a perfect thriller-horror ride. Ganniable Episode 3 will air on January 4 with an approximate runtime of 40 to 60min. This is the episode where we can see the show’s main villain and learn more about the goto family. Because the series has only seven episodes, this episode is considered very important by the viewers.
