Drag Race Philippines Season 2 Episode 5 Recap
So far, the queens have been doing really well with the challenges tossed at their ways. The last episode was geared up with the Snatch Game challenge, impersonating the celebrity, runway, and even a visit by the guests Kim Molina and Jon Santos.
By the end, we lost one gem, Veruschka Levels, as she got eliminated after losing in the lip-syncing battle, whereas DeeDee and Matilduh made it safe. In episode 5 of the Drag Race Philippines, Season 2 begins with the reactions to the lip sync battle by Matilduh and DeeDee.
Right after, they are happy with the new challenge announced named “Sit on me.” All of the queens quickly dress up to play the game of musical chairs with a twist. Matilduh and Hana are the first two to lose their chance in the game.
To spice it up more, seatmates are added to the challenge. Seeing the 4 handsome guys sitting on the chairs, the queens get even more hyped for the game.
Katkat was the winner of the mini-challenge, which gives her the advantage in the next one as she gets to choose the character she will play.
The challenge up next was shoe time, where they had to showcase their runway in the shoes that best suited them, and it was a crazy ride with the showcase the contestants put on.
This challenge begins with “Sirena The Rusical,” where the queens give spectacular performances looking no less than real mermaids.
After the challenge, Arizona Brandy and Hana Beshie are both safe, while others get some mixed comments from the critics.
They share their experiences backstage before going ahead for the result. DeeDee is declared the winner of the challenge, which fetches the queen 80,000 pesos as a reward.
Matilduh and Jade So are put into the lip sync elimination battle. Both of them perform well on the emotional song representing turmoil, frustration, and emotional breakdown, but Jade So turns out to be better, so Matilduh is the one to be eliminated.
Her emotional departure is lightened up when Katkat falls, and Matilduh exclaims, “Deserved.”
