Hocus Pocus 2 is a present-year (2022) American fantasy comedy movie directed by Anne Fletcher and authored by Jen D’Angelo for Walt Disney Pictures. Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, and Doug Jones reprise their parts in the follow-up to the 1993 movie Hocus Pocus, with Sam Richardson, Whitney Peak, Belissa Escobedo, Tony Hale, and Hannah Waddingham joining the actors in different roles.
From October 2021 to January 2022, the shooting apparently happened in Rhode Island, which replaced Salem, Massachusetts. On September 30, 2022, it was made available on Disney+. The new movie got mixed reviews, with some applauding the actor’s outcomes, humor, and childhood memories while others lauding the storyline.
Max Dennison (Omri Katz) examines an empty house along with his sister Dani (Thora Birch) and his/her new best friend Allison upon having to move to Salem, Massachusetts (Vinessa Shaw). Max unknowingly liberates a circle of wicked witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy) who previously resided in the house after discarding Allison’s tale as superstitious. The youngsters must now rob the witches’ journal of spells with the assistance of a mystic cat in order to prevent themselves from becoming eternal.

Are Hocus Pocus Sanderson Sisters Inspired By Real Story?
It’s a formally freaky season, which suggests a rewatch of the classic Hocus Pocus is required. We’ve taken the Sanderson Sisters on the nervous system now that Hocus Pocus 2 is also available, or the black flame candle if you want. We wanted to resolve one big question now that we had prepared our elixirs and cuddled our black cats, sadly, the type of cats that don’t talk. Are the Sanderson Sisters inspired by real-life witches? Are there any historical women who inspired the 3 greats we initially encountered in Hocus Pocus?
So there never were 3 Sanderson sisters in actual life, which may be a nice thing. Nevertheless, as noted by CNN, 3 sisters have been accused of practicing witchcraft in the utterly boring tiny Salem town (nothing really occurred in Salem!). Rebecca Nurse, Sarah Cloyce, and Mary Easty were the identities of the sibs in the topic who existed at that time. So, what became of them?
Let’s go back to 1692. We’re in Salem, where everybody is thinking about witches, but not the fun sort of witches who chant approved bops at Halloween Events.
In Salem, being suspected of witchcraft was simply a death sentence. Unfortunately, this was the real thing for so many Salem women at the time. Remember that America, the nation, was not yet founded, therefore anyone being accused of witchcraft would have no constitutional protections and thus little legal protection.

The Hanging Of The Accused Rebecca Nurse
In the early summer of 1692, the Salem Witch Trials started. When a bunch of girls accused several women of witchcraft and being possessed by the devil, the colony of Massachusetts descended into mayhem and terror. Bridget Bishop, the very first witch arrested on suspicion, was hanged by June. Religious ideology was the central objective of daily life during the colonial period. The Salem Witch Trials wouldn’t have taken place if the Puritan colonists didn’t believe that the devil was acting on someone else.
Based on The History of Massachusetts, when Rebecca Nurse was accused of witchcraft, the people of Salem were surprised. Based on the same study, her complainants were allegedly unkind toward the Nurse’s family due to a property dispute. Surprisingly, Nurse ended up found wrongly accused of witchcraft at first, but the jury reconvened after a few of Nurse’s complainants began having fits. They overturned the judgment and punished the Nurse to death.
This, despite the fact that 39 Salem citizens had signed a petition in assistance of Nurse’s truthfulness. On July 19, 1692, she was strung up alongside 4 other women at Procter’s Wooden platform. One of those men who signed the petition with the help of Nurse was Sarah Cloyce’s husband. Sarah, on the other hand, was soon charged. Salem residents were also taken aback when the 3rd sister, Mary Eastey, was charged.
