Late in the fourth quarter, Dak Prescott left Dallas’s 19-3 defeat to the Buccaneers due to a right-hand injury. According to The Athletic, owner Jerry Jones informed reporters after the game that surgery would be necessary and that he would be out for at least a few weeks. According to NFL Media, head coach Mike McCarthy described the injury as “serious” and indicated that the club would learn more about its severity on Monday.

Prescott stated to the publication, “It’s quite frustrating.” But accidents do happen. You might not always be in control of anything. It’s really sad that I will undoubtedly miss certain team activities and be absent.

That’s what stings the most, especially after the opening that we just gave. I have a desire to reply but may not have the chance to do so for a few weeks. It’s sad, but I’ll just carry on as usual in any situation when difficulty arises. I’m confident I’ll come out of this situation better if I attack it head-on and give it my all.

After having trainers examine his hand and thumb on the sideline, Prescott jogged in the direction of the changing rooms. The NBC broadcast said he was getting X-rays before the final buzzer. Cooper Rush took Presley’s position. Before getting hurt, Prescott had completed only 14 of his 29 throws for 134 yards and an interception while struggling to find any offensive rhythm.

It’s the most recent in a string of potential injuries for Prescott, who just this week strained the same ankle that he broke and dislocated, ending his season in 2020. Rush, a 2017 undrafted free agent out of Central Michigan, has played in 10 games with the Cowboys and has completed 31 of 50 passes for 424 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception.

There isn’t a third quarterback on the Cowboys’ roster at the moment.

The Return Of Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott Would Is Very Beneficial In The Next Few Games.

The Cowboys’ third-week opponent will be the division-rival New York Giants. The Giants will be challenging to pass because they are the only NFC East club to have won their first two games of the year. On the other hand, the Giants barely escaped with victories over some rather weak foes; hence, their contest with the Cowboys will be more indicative of their skill.

They have a chance since the Cowboys defeated the talented Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2 sans Prescott. Prescott’s presence would undoubtedly make a victory easier, but Cooper Rush stepped up and has shown he can compete against stern opposition.

In week four, Dallas will play another division foe, the Washington Commanders. Back then, Prescott would have been a great addition since the Commanders had a strong defense and a very capable quarterback. The Los Angeles Rams, who are the current Super Bowl winners, will then play the Cowboys in Week 5. Prescott will almost certainly return by then. Without Prescott, the Cowboys are unlikely to prevail since it will be a very challenging game to win with him in it. Prescott has an effect on Dallas that few others can, and his return will undoubtedly be thrilling.

What Did Dak Prescott Say?

After a 14-of-29, zero touchdown, one interception day, Prescott expressed disappointment at not being able to spend more time assisting his team. But after just one week, he urged his teammates and supporters to “not push the panic button,” expressing faith in the squad to bounce back from both its offensive mistakes and his absence. As Prescott said, “If we stop making the mistakes that hurt ourselves, we give ourselves a better chance.

That is the beginning of the horrific things we did. ” Future events will undoubtedly confirm my prediction. I have no doubt that will occur. “Cooper will be placed in each game in the best possible position and location determined by our coaching staff.”

Prescott was questioned about whether the news of the procedure shocked him. Of course, that’s not what you wanted to hear, Prescott said. Although it isn’t the worst thing that has ever occurred to me, it isn’t good either. I’ll keep going since it’s just another hiccup in the route. I’ll react to adversity in the same manner, I always have: by attacking it head-on. I’ll give it my all, and I do not doubt that I’ll come out on top.
