A supernatural figure that deals with human tragedies will be the focus of Illness at Your Command, a Korean drama premiered in 2021. He is the equivalent of clicking the “off” switch when people die. His mind-reading skills are second to none.
A diagnosis of a brain tumor is dreadful news for a woman. She is dismayed and startled and wishes for the end of the world. The device obviously recognizes her voice. The following afternoon, he approaches her and halts the clock as she is going to be crushed by a falling tree trunk.
Essentially, he makes her an offer. He plans to relieve her suffering from the terminal illness by charging his hand over her every day. He’ll grant her a single desire. The one she loves the most will perish unless she makes a wish for certain death.

1. Goblin
Kim Shin is a goblin who is cursed to live eternally as an immortal until his wife, who can see the sword through his breast, can lift the spell. The Grim Reaper with whom he presently resides has amnesia and can’t recall his history or the circumstances surrounding the Reaper.
But Ji Eun Tak comes into Kim Shin’s life, proclaiming to be his wife, and that changes all things. The Reaper develops feelings for Eun Tak’s employer, Sunny (Yoo In-Na). But as the past resurfaces to haunt the present day and the whole truth is exposed, pandemonium ensues, and they are left to choose their next move.
To begin, let me say that I was really into the story. The concert started out slowly, but it quickly gathered up momentum. But I have to admit, and I was captivated right away after waiting for what seemed like a lifetime for his wife to emerge and save him from his curse.
Kim Shin finds himself steadily falling in love with Eun Tak and losing his resolve to die. Some viewers were bothered by the large gap in age between the film’s two characters, but I personally didn’t mind it at all. In fact, I thought they had great chemistry.
The tensions between them go back a ways, nevertheless. It was really nicely done, but I can’t say much about it without giving too much away. The way K-dramas weaves together the present and the past always makes for an epic story, and it’s one of my favorite aspects of the genre. Anyway, I was merely happy to see that nothing had any lasting effect on their friendship.

2. While You Were Sleeping
The story follows Nam Hong Joo, a young woman with the ability to foresee the futures of others around her via her wildest fantasies, and Jung Jae Chan, a recently appointed policeman who just relocated to Hong Joo’s neighborhood.
Jae Chan stumbled across the dream that Hong Joo had involving her mother’s terrible death, making the connection between Hong Joo’s suicide and her mother’s death. Then, he tried to change the future and save a bystander from being killed in a car collision.
After learning about a string of events that explain their good fortune, the two resolve to join forces to prevent other tragedies and bring those responsible to justice. The drama’s plot is absolutely mind-blowing, and that’s all there is to say about it.
Although the drama’s central fantasy theme—predicting the future—isn’t exactly ground-breaking in K-drama land, it was well handled throughout and managed to maintain its spellbinding quality throughout.
Just as I’ve always had an emotional connection with Lee Jong Suk, I think Park Hye Ryun is completely smitten with his demeanor since she’s cast him in the lead role of her dramas no less than thrice.
His performance always leaves me speechless. Because the first episode just came out, I’m sitting here eagerly awaiting the next one. Before meeting Jae Chan, Nam Hong Joo (Bae Suzy) had the power of precognition, allowing her to know what will happen in the future but not affect it.
Hong Joo seems crazy and unpredictable at times, yet her true motivation is to help others avoid harm. Before she mysteriously vanished and began assisting her maternal grandmother at the restaurant, she was a news reporter for SBC.

3. My Love from the Star
Hallyu star Cheon Song Yi is a sight to see. The following day, everyone is sporting her new lipstick color, which she wore the day before. She is brilliant, gifted, and determined, but her love for an extraterrestrial has led her astray. Do Min Joon come from a different world?
He crashed to Earth throughout the Joseon dynasty and has been silently adjusting to each succeeding age in South Korea. He has style, intelligence, and wealth but is completely disillusioned with mankind. If it’s all going to ultimately result in another conflict and another tragedy, he doesn’t see the sense in caring.
Lee Hee Kyung, the heir apparent of a chaebol, has an unrelenting infatuation with Cheon Song Yi. The older brother of Jae Kyung is a psychopath who would stop at nothing to get dominance. As Do Min Joon’s time on Earth winds down—and just when he’s discovered a cause to stay—worlds clash when Cheon Song Yi unexpectedly finds entangled in Jae Kyung’s spider-web.
Do Min Joon is, in some ways, a very standard male protagonist since his character development involves him changing from a somewhat conceited and reserved introverted into an individual who is prepared to be honest and communicative with his partner?
Do Min Joon’s reasons what set him apart from other aliens with abilities? he is both foreign and docile, having lost confidence in humans.
The show’s distinctive tone was achieved in part because the show’s introverted male protagonist, Do Min Joon, avoided playing the stereotypical “aggressive boyfriend” in favor of a more nuanced performance. When his loved ones were in danger, he still got violent, but now he did it more coolly and methodically, and he was no longer a continual source of boiling rage.

5. Tomorrow with You
Tomorrow With You is a fantasy romantic comedy starring Lee Je Hoon and Shin Min Ah as a past wanderer and his wife. After seeing himself die in the future, the time traveler marries the woman with whom he feels an unfathomable connection. However, as the partnership progresses, he realizes the hurt he is inflicting on her and actively searches out ways to cherish and safeguard her.
Lee Je Hoon, who plays Yoo So Joon, our time traveler, is endearingly clumsy. He’s such a kind person, but having to predict the future is tough. His whole being revolves around preventing future heartbreak and death for his wife. Seeing the worry and suffering on his face is upsetting.
As Song Ma Rin, Shin Min Ah exudes her usual allure. She has a wonderful sense of humor and an endearing naiveté. It was touching to see how much she cared for and cherished So Joon.
The time-traveling sunbae Doo Shik (Jo Han Chul) belongs to So Joon. Strange as he may seem, he has been instrumental in So Joon’s development of his time-travel skills. Moreover, he is a mysterious guy whose thoughts and actions keep those watching and So Joon guessing.
It’s hard for me to find the right words to describe how wonderful a relationship So Joon and Ma Rin are. To begin with, they make a very cute couple. The amount of sweetness and wonderful skinship between them is overwhelming. You couldn’t help but adore them.

6. I’m Not a Robot
Kim Min Kyu (Yoo Seung Ho) is the protagonist. He is allergic to humans and hence cannot have any kind of physical contact or skinship with them. He could die from contact with even one human being. While everything is going on, Jo Jia Ah has to act like a robot since her former beau, Prof. Hong, and his Santa Maria group have built an artificial intelligence robot that looks just like her.
All of these people’s destinies were beginning just as the Santa Maria gang hit a low point. They sold out to Kim Min Kyu’s KM Finance. Prof. Hong was transmitting a video in which he presented his artificial intelligence and humanoid robot to ensure that it would not be sold to a third party.
Kim Min Kyu’s interest in this kind of robot grew after he experienced the film; as someone human who has never had a companion, he is, in fact, a lonely person. He appeared very shocked the first time he laid eyes on the robot known as Aji. Aji is still under testing, Prof. Hong informed him.
Prof. Hong and Kim Min Kyu came to an agreement whereby, in exchange for Kim Min Kyu investing a certain number of money in Santa Maria and agreeing not to sell it to other parties, Kim Min Kyu would become the owner of Aji, providing Prof. Hong with the capital he needed to continue developing the project.
Meanwhile, the Santa Maria team will continue working to improve Aji. However, Aji mysteriously vanished three days before being delivered to Kim Min Kyu’s home. It broke, and the Aji replacement components had to be transported to Korea from a distant location, taking more than a week. Kim Min Kyu, on the other hand, was adamant that AJi show up at his place by the agreed-upon hour.

7. Hotel Del Luna
The narrative follows Hotel Del Luna’s CEO, Jang Man Weol, who is trapped in her job due to a felony conviction from her past. However, Hotel Del Luna is not like any other hotel because its guests have recently departed on their way to the hereafter and resurrection.
Del Luna is not supposed to be apparent to living beings, but a guest at the hotel steals a flower from the Moon Tree instead. In return for 20 years of servitude to her, Man Weol gives his son a life and money when he sees him. Almost twenty years later, Man Weol fulfills his commitment to oversee the hotel after meeting Ku Chan Seong’s son.
He finds himself enmeshed in the mystery of Del Luna and Jang Man Weol. In order to establish the universe and provide adequate details for the audience to grasp the laws of this planet, the drama gets off to a sluggish start.
The sluggish pace of the series is a double-edged sword: it can either keep you interested or bore you to tears. But the relationship featuring Ku Chan Seong and Jang Man Weol doesn’t develop completely until the middle of the drama, and there are narrative pieces that might have been incorporated sooner if the writers had chosen to do so.
The randomness of certain story developments was shocking. For example, Ku Chan Seong’s mother, who appeared in the eleventh episode, was not given a lot of sympathetic treatment.
Instead of finding closure, Chan Seong seldom sees his mother before she leaves. It was a jarring debut to a character with potential for development. Similar treatment was given to Sanchez’s girlfriend, who was mentioned once and then abruptly murdered in an unwarranted plot twist.

8. Chicago Typewriter
A contemporary best-selling author, a ghostwriter who gets him out of his rut, and a fan all come together in Chicago Typewriter. A strange typewriter links them to their prior life as freedom fighters in the 1930s when Japan occupied their country.
The modern-day narrative of a best-selling author who hits a dry spell, the ghostwriter who assists him, and the reader who becomes obsessed with him is told in Chicago Typewriter. A strange typewriter links them to their prior life as freedom fighters in the 1930s when Japan occupied their country.
Yoo Ah In portrays Han Se Ju, our top-selling author. He is distant and distrustful of others due to his icy demeanor. When he’s down because of a tough situation, everything becomes complex for him. In the 1930s, when Yoo Ah In was featured, I found her to be much more interesting.
We’ve got a Yoo Jin Oh in the form of Go Kyung Pyo. He’s intriguing since he seems to have a lot of hidden depths. Jin Oh is the one to turn to when Se Ju hits a low point in his mood. Go Kyung Pyo was the show-stopping star of the show, in my opinion.
When he came on screen, the tension immediately increased. Im Soo Jung is Jeon Seol, Han Se Ju’s biggest supporter. She has looked up to him for quite some time, so naturally, she is thrilled at the prospect of finally seeing him in person. However, they have a rocky beginning, and she has a hard time winning his confidence due to his skepticism.
Baek Tae Min, aka Kwak Shi Yang, is our nemesis. He has intense feelings of avarice and envy for Se Ju because of their past. I didn’t think much of him as a character, but he accomplishes his antagonist thing well and makes life difficult for our ragtag three.

9. My Mister
My Mister is a popular drama because IU played the protagonist. As it turned out to be nothing like the typical love drama, it quickly fell out of favor with viewers. However, its dark and unusual plot won many melodrama enthusiasts.
Young Ji Ahn lives in poverty. She has many low-paying jobs and steals food to support herself and her ailing grandmother, whom she cannot afford to take to the hospital. Because she wanted to return her to their cramped apartment, she really abducted her from a hospital. She is also assaulted by the loan shark, whose family she owes money to.
Dong Hoon is a questionable boss. That his wife is cheating on him is news to him. He also has two jobless brothers he must support. When he accepts a bribe, Ji Anh is there to see it and assists him in discarding it before security workers catch up to them.
In all, it’s a fascinating tale. I’ll be honest and say that the first two episodes were a disappointment since they were too muddled. The story improves in the second half.
The story’s protagonist uses a bug implanted in her boss’s mobile phone to eavesdrop on their conversations, making for an interesting premise. The individual character’s backstory and the family turmoil were very intriguing. Thankfully, there was no happy ending to the narrative.
The excellent acting and well-developed characters are the show-stoppers in this drama. You may dislike Ji Ahn at first, but you’ll end up liking him. She first seems to be a manipulative spoiled brat, but the layers of her character and her backstory are gradually revealed as the play progresses. IU did a fantastic job portraying a sad heroine than usual, and her acting in those situations was excellent.

10. Memories of the Alhambra
The augmented reality activities included in “Memories of the Alhambra” distort the player’s perception of their surroundings. Hyun Bin plays a CEO who visits Spain to work on an augmented reality game and sleeps at a women’s (Park Shin Hye) hostel. But then, unexpected things start happening as a result of the game, and things take an unexpected direction.
My next play, the much-awaited Memories of the Alhambra, takes place in Spain, so it’s time to pack my bags and go there. The AR idea appealed to me since I like science fiction. In the past, I’ve appreciated programs like Sword Are Online that deal with the concept of virtual reality. The AR twist gives this drama a few unique characteristics, but it’s still very much in the same style.
Yoo Jin Woo is played by Hyun Bin. He is the CEO who is determined to see the new augmented reality game through to completion. At first, he enjoys the game so much because of how well it immerses him, but then he begins to worry that it’s becoming too much like real life.
Jung Hee Joo, portrayed by Park Shin Hye. In Spain, she operates a hostel. She had no clue that her brother had created the augmented reality game. She becomes more attached to Jin Woo throughout his stay at her hostel as mysterious occurrences unfold.
The anticipation for Memories of the Alhambra was palpable. Is that the case? It worked for me. But there are certain things to think about before you go in headfirst.
To start, the benefits. It stands apart from the crowd in a number of ways, and those ways are all positive. The majority of the action takes place in Spain. In a word: yes! I found its distinct mood and plenty of beautiful landscape images to be very appealing.

11. Her Private Life
Duk Mi is employed at an art establishment. She treats her work with great seriousness and enthusiasm. But there’s a major secret she’s keeping.
She admits to being a Shi An superfan in her spare time. She devotes all of her free time to being a fangirl for her favorite star, attending all of his concerts and fan conventions so that she may document them on her own personal blog. Her whole home might pass for a Shi’ai museum.
The show got off to a great start by showing the main lady’s fangirl lifestyle, her love of art, and her strange relationship with her new employer, Ryan Gold. There was obvious chemistry between them right away.
Everything in the relationship went at the perfect speed, never becoming boring or frustrating for either of you. The love tale, all things considered, was rather enjoyable. The fangirl moments lessened as the story progressed, but they were still amusing and made sense if you’re a fan.
The play, however, took a more sinister turn in its last act. The couple’s sad background is often used to cement their relationship in kdramas, making the mystery of their past rather cliché. Even if the mystery was soon resolved, it doesn’t mean the narrative wasn’t entertaining. The finale was weakened, in my opinion. The love triangle didn’t fare any better.
Duk Mi is an outgoing, sociable, and active female. She is very competent and the finest of her kind. On the other hand, she is a die-hard Shi An the Idol supporter. She doesn’t let others in on that part of her life because she thinks they’ll misunderstand her.
Despite her history as Kim, the snarky secretary, Park Min Young plays the role of a devoted fangirl here. She’s so kind, humorous, and kind—just wonderful! The two of them had terrific chemistry.

12. Come and Hug Me
A man and a woman who fell in love as youngsters reunite years later. Yoon Na-moo seemed shy and reserved as a young guy, and his father was a serial killer with psychotic tendencies. His counterpart is Gil Nak-won, the daughter of a well-known actress. Nak-won’s doggedness and determination eventually win Na-moo over, and the two fall in love.
Their brief romance ends when Na-moo’s father, Yoon Hee-jae, a man with a perverted fascination with his son, kills Nak-won’s parents. Years later, Gil Nak-won has become Han Jae-yi, like the woman who raised her before her, an ambitious actress who strives to maintain a positive perspective while suffering from a panic condition as a result of her harrowing upbringing.
And now Yoon Na-moo is Chae Do-jin, a rookie cop with a burning desire to make up for his infamous father’s crimes. Remembering the good times they had is important to these couple would-be lovers, but they are bound by a terrible destiny and will have to work collectively to get through the obstacles in their path.
You can’t judge this drama by its cover; that’s like buying a mystery box and expecting to be happy with what’s inside. When I realized that Jang Kiyong was among the cast, I had second thoughts. Really? He’s inexperienced, so why take a chance on him as the male lead? Is he really that good? Yes, it’s the old bias again.
The young actress who represented Jin Ki Joo’s younger self is attractive; when she froze, I thought I recognized a likeness to Kim So Hyun. Her name is Ryu Han Bi, and I’ve never witnessed her before, but I think she does a great job acting.

The entertainment value of Signal is over the roof. Perfect in every way; it messes with your head while also making you think and feel things.
A compelling idea, a barking insane narrative, riveting cases, a well-crafted script, outstanding direction, and tour de strength vocals from the actors made this an excellent show. In addition to being an all-time classic, Signal is also a benchmark for science fiction dramas.
The beginning was explosive! The first scene was captivating enough to keep people watching. There was a thrilling, dramatic, and riveting atmosphere throughout the whole event. There was an unquenchable flow of happenings in Signal that would keep you on the edge of your seat.
