Now, if you’re wondering where this movie was filmed, read on because we’re going to take a trip to the United Kingdom.
Red White & Royal Blue Filming Locations
Red White & Royal Blue was filmed between June and August 2022 in England’s capital London and surrounding cities like Hampshire, Greenwich, and Kent. Now, let’s take a look in-depth at some of these filming locations to learn a bit more about them.
London, England
London is the capital city of the United Kingdom and the seat of the throne of the British Royal Family.
In the movie, the fictional Prince Henry lives and works there as most British Family Members do, and in the movie, the US President’s son visits the city, and during a gathering, they go into a bit of a fight that eventually sets the spark for the bustling romance between the two, that scene took place in Foster Lane at Goldsmith’s Hall.
It was a bit of a challenge for the filmmakers to shoot that scene in Goldsmith’s Hall because, between the cameras, the crew, extras, and the cast, the director and producers had to go to great lengths to film such a complex scene in such a small space. While that ballroom looks huge, in fact, it is rather small.
In the movie, we see some exterior shots of iconic places like the Old Royal Naval College in Park Row, the Queen Anne’s Court, as well as some aerial shots of the London Metropolitan area. London is a historical city that was a trading post on the banks of the Thames River and predates the Roman Empire as well as the foundation of the Kingdom itself.
Hampshire
Hampshire also served as a filming location for the movie. Home to some iconic and historic landmarks of British history like the Odiham Castle, the Penwood Estate, and its lake. It was also used to film some of the exterior shots of Goldsmith’s Hall.
The beauty and complexity of this production were only possible thanks to the clever and professional work of the production crew, who managed to get all the permits, clearances, licenses, and agreements with authorities, land owners, and municipality officials to bring cast and crew to the premises and shot this hilarious film.

Kent
Kent is known as the ‘Garden of England’ due to its lush landscape and rural areas.
