The subjects embark on the challenging task of losing enough weight for surgery with the assistance of their loved ones and Houston-based bariatric surgeon Dr. Younan Nowzaradan.

Geno was up in an Italian-American family with a lot of love, family, and food. He’s now still living with his mother and starving himself to death, so something needs to happen. Nico, Geno’s cousin, joins the cause and commits to working toward weight loss. 

Geno Dacunto is from New Haven, CT, and has very bad and unhealthy food eating habits, because of this, he is struggling in doing day-to-day activities. He says that he eats food to make him happy and food makes him comfortable as he is Italian so when he eats, he eats a lot.

When he visited the doctors he was weighing approx 684 lbs, and he has set a challenge to reduce 60 lbs in a month with the help of his cousin Nico. Nico said that Geno is now ready to lose weight, and he will also try to lose weight with him by pushing him.
