The original ‘The White Lotus’ is a comedy-drama series that was initially intended to be a limited series of six parts. The series premiered on 11th July 2021 on HBO and received great feedback. HBO did not want to sleep on the success, so they immediately renewed it for another season as an anthology series. The second season is set to premiere in October. The series has been written, created, and directed by Mike White, who also accompanies Nick Hall and David Bernad as executive producers.
The first season was full of talented cast members, including Jennifer Coolidge, Murray Bartlett, Connie Britton, Sydney Sweeney, Jake Lacy, and more. The second season has changed things up and added some new faces along with the previous stars who might appear for guest roles. The new cast members include Aubrey Plaza, Michael Imperioli, Adam DiMarco, Tom Hollander, Haley Lu Richardson, and F. Murray Abraham. In the meantime, it’s rumored that Jennifer Coolidge will return for a guest role.

‘The White Lotus’ Season 2 Episode Schedule
Season 2 of ‘The White Lotus’ will have slightly more episodes than the initial season. The creators have added one more episode to season 2, which might be a result of the original show’s popularity. There have been some changes in the list of cast members as well. The protagonists will be seen with a new set of characters, and the location has been changed from the previous Hawaiian resort. The series was shot in Sicily, at Taormina’s Four Seasons San Domenica Palace. The second season of ‘The White Lotus’ is set to premiere in October 2022 on HBO. As of now, no dates have been confirmed by the creators yet.
This season, the series will have a total of seven episodes. Each of the seven episodes will be released weekly on HBO if they follow the previous schedule. Unfortunately, nothing has been confirmed regarding the dates when the episodes will be released. If season 2 follows the same routine as the first season, it can be assumed that the episodes will come out every Sunday night at 9 pm EST or 6 pm PST.
‘The White Lotus’ has received heaps of positive responses. IMDb gives the TV series a 7.6 out of ten, which was calculated based on 62,204 votes. The series received about 89% positive responses on Rotten Tomatoes with a rating of 8.4 out of 10. There’s no doubt that the series received immense praises. Within a year, it won the Best Comedy Series Award and Best Broadcast Network or Cable Limited or Anthology Series Award. Mike White rightfully won two awards for his direction and writing. The series also helped cast members Murray Bartlett and Jennifer Coolidge win awards for best-supporting actor/actress.
