If you have ever been to Japan, you might have seen some cafes where girls are dressed very differently than in any normal restaurant or café. These cafes are known as maid cafes, and the girls here are dressed like maids to serve a customer and treat them as their masters.

An anime by the name Akiba Meido Sensou also tells us something about the maids’ life. The protagonist of the show wants to work at maid cafes to fulfill her dream, and she moves to a different location to work at the maid café Ton Tokoton.

The series tells us the story of their idol group called Franchouchou and the struggles and hardships they have to face in their journey while hiding their zombie identities.

2. Lycoris Recoil

The number of terrorist attacks has drastically reduced in Japan, thanks to the efforts of Direct Attack (DA), an undercover organization that raises and trains orphaned girls to become assassins and carry out orders under the name ‘Lycoris.’ Takina Inoue is an exceptional member for having a taste for perfection and a strong sense of purpose.

Unfortunately, while on a mission, one of his subordinates got captured and taken hostage. Without thinking for a second, she started firing indiscriminately, putting the lives of other Lycoris at risk. Because of her carelessness, she got dismissed from DA.

After that, she is transferred to work in a café called “LycoReco,” which is a branch of the agency in disguise, and she has to work with an elite Lycoris agent Chisato Nishikigi. We will be seeing her journey in working at this new place with some new people.

The theme of the series is set around the mid-1900s. A 25-year-old Japanese salaryman named Rokuro “Rock” Okajima works for Asahi Industries in Tokyo. One day, when a deal goes wrong, he is taken hostage by the members of the Lagoon Company. This group of pirate mercenaries smuggles goods in and around Southeast Asia.

4. Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid

The story is about a programmer named Kobayashi, who is about to leave for work, and surprisingly, she gets greeted by a large dragon outside her door, who immediately transforms into a cute girl in a maid outfit and introduces herself as Tohru.

It turns out that the other day during a drunken excursion into the mountains, Kobayashi found the dragon, and as she helped remove a holy sword from Tohru’s back, she decided to let her live as her personal maid in the house.

Now even though Tohru is very good and efficient at household work, she still is a challenging character as she brings more harm than good to Kobayashi’s life. Her presence is enough to attract dragons and other mystical creatures to her new home.

In a private girls’ boarding school named Myojou Academy, Tokaku Azuma has just transferred here. In a fictional empire called Albion in the 20th century, their was a discovery of a very unbelievable and mysterious material called “Cavorite”, which helped them to use it in the production of advanced airships and weapons to strengthen their military forces.

However, at the same time, a rebellion against the kingdom’s ruling class started spreading among the citizens, which resulted in a very big revolution and it literally divided the whole country into two individual kingdoms: the Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

11. Noir

One day on a nice sunny afternoon, Mirelle Bouquet receives an email from a person named Kirika Yuumura, who is a student from Japan, inviting her over to “make a pilgrimage to the past.” At first, she thinks this is some sort of a joke or prank but changes her mind when it starts playing a song that she recognizes from her past.

But Kirika apparently has no memory of his past and how she is able to acquire these amazing skills and abilities. They both then embark on the journey together to find answers about their past lives and the reason why they lost their memories.

A Westalian agent by the code name “Twilight” has been assigned to maintain the peace between Westalis and Ostania. He is tasked to spy on Donovan Desmond, who is the leader of the National Unity Party with Ostania. However, as Desmond is very hard to reach out to, the only way to get close to him is to become a parent a enroll your children in the same school as Desmond’s son.

To overcome this obstacle, he creates the alias of Loid Forger and then adopts an orphan girl named Anya. He was even able to find a woman named Yor Briar, with whom he talked out things, and they married each other, and now they are a complete family.

However, what is interesting here is that the girl, Anya is a psychic and can read people’s minds, and the wife, Yor is a professional assassin. All three of them, nobody know about each other’s real identity, and they are living as a family.

He must have seen this trend of a lot of maid cafes opening recently and some even performing really well, which made him decide to do the same thing with our shop too. Even after rebranding his shop, the café still doesn’t have any tea, their way of service is very poor, and the only customers coming are from the local shopping district.

Hotori needs to balance her school life and work life while also spending some time with her friends and family.
