Minato Akira and Katsuki Shintaro are the main protagonists of Minato’s Laundromat: Wash My Heart! Season 2. Akira manages his grandparents’ coin laundromat. He met Shintaro, a high schooler. They became friends despite the age gap between them.
In season 2, Akira and Shintaro are dating. Akira is hesitant to make their relationship public due to the age difference. Shintaro and Akira are now living together.
Shintaro does not want Akira to come to his university. He is concerned that any other young student may fall in love with Akira’s cuteness. Akira thought that Shintaro might feel embarrassed because of Akira.

Minato Akira was coming back from shopping when he saw Shintaro walking. Akira called out Shintaro, but Shintaro was with another man. Akira seemed uneasy and wanted to find out more.
Akira followed Shintaro. Shintaro was brightly smiling while talking to the other man. Akira was worried and entered Keyaki University. He wanted to know about their relationship. He wanted to pretend that he didn’t see anything.
Shintaro caught Minato Akira talking to the security guard. He warned Akira not to visit him at the university as it was dangerous. The other man was Dr. Kirihara Satoshi. Dr. Kirihara Satoshi is an Orthopedic surgeon at Keyaki University’s affiliated hospital.
Shintaro asked about Akira’s visit, and he was too embarrassed to talk about his mistake. Akira attempts to persuade Shintaro that he came to the neighborhood, so he came to visit him.
Shintaro introduces Minato Akira as his boyfriend to Dr Kirihara Satoshi. Akira was too stunned and shy to hear Shintaro’s words. Dr Kirihara supported their relationship by calling them a good couple.
Shintaro’s statements embarrassed Akira so much that he requested him to stop telling people they were lovers. He is tense about prejudiced people, but Shintaro doesn’t care about others’ opinions.
Shintaro is proud of his feelings for Akira. Shintaro is frightened of losing Akira; else, he would have revealed him to the university and the whole town.
Akira praises Dr. Kirihara for being friendly, gorgeous, and bright. He was overjoyed to meet such a kind and reliable adult. Shintaro gets upset seeing Akira impressed by Dr Kirihara. He never wanted them to meet.
Shintaro surprised Akira by mentioning eleven things he loves about him. When he asked Akira to name ten things about Shintaro, he couldn’t think of anything except Shintaro’s attractive looks. Shintaro becomes enraged once more and warns Akira not to visit him at the university again. They eventually end up arguing over not trusting.
Akira draws a line separating the house into two parts. Shintaro and Akira were unwilling to apologize for their disagreement. Later, Akira intended to send a message by apologizing for the fight the night before.
He decided to settle the situation face-to-face. Akira planned to make Shintaro’s favorite hamburger as an apology. He saw Shintaro meeting Dr. Kirihara and leaving together.
