With the series now being a fan favorite, everyone is curious about Battle for Happiness filming locations. The series originated in South Korea, where it throws light on a crime drama. The plot is inspired by a novel of the same name which has been written by Joo Young Ha.
Throughout the series, we get to see the murder case among the mothers who live in the elite and rich society of Korea. ENA had commissioned the episodes for their channel. These mothers in the lead take part in a huge battle taking place on social media. Their first purpose is to destroy the other’s happiness to get some for themselves.
Although, a series of troubles begin when one of their group members dies mysteriously. This creates a huge battle in front of them. Some of the mothers are hoping to reveal the truth and accept while one of them is not ready to accept it or even reveal the same as a matter of fact.
We see actress Lee El reprising the role of Oh In Ju. She is a single mother trying to run a small bakery of her own. She is relatively poorer than the other mothers who are in the school where her son studies at. In-Ju feels quite judged by these elite women. Soon, she comes across a woman named Seo Ji Won, who is very rich and beautiful. In-Ju feels like she is the one who has it all.
Even the elite woman is interested in her story and offers her help to improve the situation. Later, In Ju comes to realize the truth upon seeing the facts that Ji Won lives around. She quickly realizes that the rich woman is actually not as kind as she seems and is actually manipulative and stubborn. She is desperately trying to destroy the happiness of In Ju for her own gain.
Battle for Happiness Filming Locations
Coming to the filming locations, Battle for Happiness has been filmed all across Korea in cities such as Seoul and Incheon, and Busan. Here is a list of major locations where the crew had set up their work for the show.
1. Itaewon, Seoul
This trendy spot is located in the heart of Seoul and is a major tourist attraction. Popularly known for its diverse restaurants and nightlife, it really comes to life in the dark with the entire hustle and bustle. In the series, we see Itaewon as the place where In Ju first comes across Ji Won.
2. Seoul National University
This location was used for the school setting in the series. Here we see all the mothers coming in and dropping their kids off, including In Ju, whose son studies here.
3. Haesindang Park
This is a very beautiful location, apt for picnics and outings. Located in the Gangneung area of South Korea, it is a perfect location for the locals to blow off some steam. In the series, we see the place being used during the scene where In Ju and Ji Won come together to spread the ashes of the former’s mother.
4. Gyeongbokgung Palace
This happens to be a very beautiful royal palace located in Seoul. Perfect tourist location for all the visitors. It showcases the culture and history of the Korean folks. In the series, we saw In Ju and Ji Won go to the palace together in order to attend a wedding.
5. Namsam Tower
It is surely one of the most heavily featured locations in almost all South Korean dramas and shows. It is a communications tower that is present in Seoul. In the series, we saw how In Ju and Ji Won had a huge confrontational moment here at Namsam Tower.
6. Incheon Arts Centre
This is a theatrics and arts center which is located in Incheon in, South Korea. The place served the show in the form of a location where In Ju and Ji Won went to attend a performance.
7. Cheonggyecheon
This is a very beautiful and calm stream that runs through Seoul. It can be used as a place to relax or even have dates. The banks are pretty, and there are even steps to sit at. In the show, we saw that In Ju and Ji Won were talking on the banks of the stream.
