Synopsis
Erkeğe Güven Olmaz, which translates to Men Can’t Trust in English, revolves around the life of Elif (Rüya Helin Demirbulut) and Erhan (Alperen Duymaz); an engaged couple who are genuinely head over heels in love with one another.
Their biggest dream for the future is to quickly get married and start building a happy family. However, amid their hopes and dreams of a white picket fence and their dream home, Erhan’s deceit ends up shattering all that they had hoped for.
His deceit upends their day to day lives as he’s left with nothing but a huge debt which is near impossible to repay. As soon as they hear this tragic and shocking news, Elif and Erhan’s life is turned upside down, as they’re made to rethink their future plans as stress and anxiety lingers around them.
This shocking news they heard together while on Erhan’s work trip will completely overturn their lives and psychological well-being. Their lives are a misery due to debt and they’re left in desperation to seek help.
Upon hearing their financial trouble, Erhan’s boss, Sibel (Melisa Asli Pamuk) has an offer that will change everything. This offer however is not your typical monetary transaction but is something more- what could Sibel possibly ask for and how does it change the lives of Elif and Erhan forever?

Playing the role of our male protagonist Erhan Yildirim in EGO, Alperen Duymaz is a well-known Turkish Actor who’s played a role in many Turkish series including Çukur, Acı Aşk, Bodrum Masalı, Tatlı Küçük Yalancılar and many more.
Through his character as Erhan, Alperen shows great skills and has been appraised for his acting in this Turkish Drama.
Melisa Asli Pamuk
Melisa Asli Pamuk is a popular Dutch Actress who recently has joined the Turkish Film industry. Although still being pretty new to the acting field, Melisa has starred in quite a few series already, including Kara Sevda, Çarpışma, and Kırmızı Oda.
Playing the role of Sibel, our female lead and the boss of Erhan, Melisa showcases her talent in acting through her character.
