Meanwhile, Nancy, a journalist on the German side, witnesses the ruthless German invasion of Poland. In France, Webster O’Connor, a gay surgeon, grapples with the shadows of war enveloping his country.
After Germany’s effortless conquest of Poland, Kasia’s plans to escape with her mother are obstructed by German soldiers. Eventually, Harry reunites with Lois in England, burdened by the guilt of his infidelity. Just as he musters the courage to confess, Lois declares her unwavering love for him. However, Harry’s involvement in Poland costs him his job in London.
Meanwhile, Nancy faces constant censorship and challenges in her journalistic endeavors in Germany. Each character’s path intertwines as they strive to navigate the turbulent wartime landscape.
According to Peter Bowker, the series creator, Season 2 will delve deeper into multiple story arcs. We will witness the intriguing encounters between Lois and Kasia, as well as the historical events surrounding the German assault in Northwestern England and the theater of operations in Northern Africa. Bowker also promises to unveil the rich history of the Webster family. And as Nancy embarks on a journey to the Soviet Union, we will discover more about her life.
