We’ve all seen various kinds of people in our lives, but only retail workers have first-hand experience with all sorts of people that could ever exist. From customers who have absurd requests to bosses that won’t do anything, the retail world has no shortage of annoying yet humorous lives. That’s what exactly the show Rostered On portrays on Youtube.
Directed by Ryan Chamley, this show provides a clear picture of the inner workings of a retail shop, specifically, the Electro world. This is an electronics store in Australia where both customers and employees seem to be having the most relatable encounters. If you’ve worked in retail, you’re going to love what Rostered On has in store for you.
The series was first seen in April 2016 in the form of a barely half an hour-long pilot. Its reliability, coupled with the awkward comedy, made Rostered On stand out from the rest of the shows of that time. It was later released as a whole series starting in April 2017 onwards.
The latest season of the show, which premiered on October 30th, 2022, focuses on the counter girls, who can’t get enough of gossiping and judging any customer that walks into the store. The plot is paced slightly differently this time, compared to that seasons 1 & 2.

Rostered On Season 3 Episode 7: Recap
In the episode aired on November 27th, 2022, we see a customer coming back to Electroworld to return a “Faulty” slow cooker. His problem with it was that it was cooking his food too slowly, and when Beeanca explained that it was not faulty, he asked to talk to the manager.
Meanwhile, the assistant manager, Sarah, tries to fake being a girl boss so she can be more confident. Gary and Adam are not available, so Sarah steps in to talk to the oblivious customer. She puts up Adam’s badge and refunds the customer, all while impersonating Adam. Though she successfully resolves the issue, the badge’s powers seem to cloud her mind, and she gets attached to it.
Beeanca takes it away from her, but the badge seems to affect her as well. She demands Winston to clean the store and acts just as Adam would. Sarah removes the badge and hands it over to Chris, who works in the head office. The whole episode revolves around the badge being possessed by some sort of supernatural power.
Other employees witness the badge and get affected, and this causes Chris and the others to come up with a plan to destroy it. They don’t want something so powerful going into Adam’s wrong hands, and since Sarah was the one to wear it first, they ask her to be the one to destroy it.
Adam comes into the store and sees the staff destroying it. He takes it back and puts it on, but it remains normal without any of the effects the other staff members were having. They conclude that Adam’s soul must be dark enough already.
