Directed by Li Mu Ge, the series follows the tale of Song Yan, a fire department chief, and Xu Qin, an emergency doctor determined to save several lives. Separated forcefully, it was only a matter of time before fate would have worked its magic in reuniting the childhood besties.

The series revolves around none other than Song Yan, a fire chief, and Xu Qin, an emergency doctor. It follows the pattern of best-friend turn enemy turn lover. Two childhood besties, Xu Qin and Song Yan, get separated by their parents after reaching adulthood to fate playing cupid and then meeting again to falling in love after realizing their determination and hard work.
The main reason behind the besties getting separated from each other turned out to be that Xu Qin belonged to a wealthy family. The series begins with Song Yan at his workplace, The Shili Tai Fire And Rescue Station, as the place is in a festive scene. The firefighters get dispatched quickly after the fire alarm rings suddenly during the festivities. Same day early morning, Dr. Xu Qin returns from the emergency room after performing a major surgery.
The strangest thing to occur in the episode was several firefighters covered in dirt rushing into the emergency room and requesting Xu Qin to treat their comrade suffering from a toothache, only for the comrade to refuse treatment.
The next day Song Yan gets called to the fire department’s captain’s office after the department receives several complaints. Meanwhile, in the locker room, Xu Qin’s co-workers were gossiping about her being next in line for promotion.
While coming to work, Xu Qin encounters an accident scene caused due to traffic, and she immediately enters rescue mode. Meanwhile, Song Yan fails to find his lighter after his return from a rescue mission and goes off to search for the same in the department’s garbage disposal bin.
Xu Qin visits a bar with Meng when she hears the news about the fire department coming for an inspection. Xu Qin is disappointed after she fails to find Song Yan in the team that arrived for inspection as she was hoping to run into him again.
Xu Qin visits her aunt’s house in hopes of reuniting with her childhood bestie once she learns Song Yan is on vacation. Meanwhile, after his return from the vacation, Song Yan complains to his colleague cum friend Suo Jun about the recruits failing their tasks.
Song Yan firmly believes that he, with Suo Jun’s help, would be able to make their fire department the best in the area while Suo Jun continues to dodge eye contact. The next day the test results of the driver responsible for the accident caused the previous comes out, and Xu Qin informs the nurse about Song Yan’s injury during the rescue mission as every firefighter involved in the rescue mission needed to come to the hospital for blood test due to the driver being HIV+.
Song Yan gathers the firemen involved in the rescue mission. After several similar incidents with Song Yan and Xu Qin working side by side in rescue missions, they begin to grow closer, and Song Yan tries to forgive Xu Qin for abandoning him.
The last episode of the series witnessed Xu Qin and Song Yan working together on a rescue mission after a typhoon almost destroyed the entire city. After the typhoon ends, the city’s reconstruction begins to take place slowly with time.
The series ends with Xu Qin and Song Yan moving in together and leaning on each other as they stare off at the scenery in front of them. It ends on a beautiful note, with Song Yan making a powerful promise to his love.
