There are many different kinds of Reality TV Shows. We have fun quizzes like Jeopardy or Kaun Banega Crorepati, and we have daredevil shows like Roadies. There are dating-related shows like Love Island or Bachelor, cooking reality shows like The Great British Bake Off, and drama houses like Big Boss.
One of the coolest entrants to reality television is Lego Masters. The American kick-off based on the British show of the same name began airing in February 2020. There is also an Australian version that began airing in 2019 and is hosted by Hamish Blake. The basic premise of the series is about contestants and teams competing to assemble the best Lego Project based on the round’s objectives.
The show gained a lot of traction, especially during the pandemic, and it garnered a huge following. Fans loved the show’s concept and competitive spirit, especially fans of Lego. It was a chance to see how some of the best and most unique pieces of Lego Designs are built and to get remarks from famous Lego Designers. Fans have also held extensive discussions on the internet about the show, and many have expressed an interest in going back to the charming world of Lego because of it.
Lego Masters: Filming Locations
The American Lego Masters opened for casting in 2019, looking for the most passionate, talented, and innovative Lego designers. The filming began in October and ran for around seven weeks. The show first aired in February 2020 and drew great momentum from the public.
After the immense success of the first season, the show has continually been renewed for two more subsequent seasons. The third season will be aired this September. Now let’s take a look at the filming locations so far, although it is t be noted that the shooting for this series was primarily set in the US.
Los Angeles, California, USA
For the debut of the show, filming began in Los Angeles, California. The Central Valley Centre Studios in the Panorama City community at 13927 Saticoy Street is where they decided to hold the first tape recording site for Season 1. This studio has been the production site for many well-known shows before, ranging from “The Office” to “How To Get Away With Murder”.
The studio is a sprawling center of two stages of 15000 square feet each. They also have manufacturing offices of 6000 square feet, a great location for a show about building some amazing designs competitively. It is also official news that there were more than lego bricks presented in the studio for the teams in their competition.
Metro Atalanta, Georgia
The Lego Masters Season 2’s production began at the Atalanta Film Studios, also known as the ATL Film Studios, located at 110 Thompson Road in Hiram. This change in the location was because they needed a highly populated location for the purpose of capturing. This center housed many standing locations for a school, hospital, house, and salon. This provided them with space and made it more appropriate for their filming with respect to the many different tasks that they had to cater to.
Lego Masters: Where To Watch
Last December, there was an official announcement that Lego Masters would be coming back a Season 3, and as far as we know, shooting was getting wrapped up around April. In June 2022, the production company announced that the third season premiered on 21 September 2022. The second episode will be out on 28 September 2022. Although the third season was originally scheduled for a release in May, it was pushed back to September. The reason is that the producers are also coming up with a spin-off series titled “Celebrity Lego Masters: Holiday Bricktacular”.
Fans have developed a great love for the show over the airing of the two seasons. With the British and the Australian versions also taking off, Lego Masters has carved a niche for itself in the reality television spectrum. While it may be fun to watch spectacular fiery relationship dramas and be the audience to interesting trivia quizzes, Lego Masters has proved that that is not all there is to see in reality television.
It has built a spectacular space in entertainment where people can come together to appreciate and compete in something as peaceful and quaint as lego designs. If you want to catch up with the seasons and watch the show, you can find it on Hulu.
