Let’s cover Reservation Dogs Season 2 Episode 4 release date, and while we’re at it, let’s do a recap of the past episode to give you a sense of what’s happened so far in this dramedy developed by Thor: Love and Thunder’s director Taika Waititi that features an all-Native American cast with a great story.
If you’re unfamiliar with Reservation Dogs, it’s a dramedy that tells the story of a group of Native-American teenagers bored to death in a rural town who start doing some shenanigans, robbing places in hopes to gain some money to move to California. But they’ve managed to stay in the town, facing new issues and dealing with the consequences of their actions. Now, without further ado, let’s recap the past episode.
Reservation Dogs Season 2 Episode 3 Recap
Bear obtains a construction job. He certainly didn’t anticipate working with Danny, Daniel’s father, but the man politely welcomed him on his first day. Although they do refer to Bear as “the new guy,” a few of his other coworkers are friendly. Bear is only told to copy them and learn from his own mistakes; they don’t even instruct him on how to perform the task.
Bear almost slips off the roof of the house they’re working on at one point. Even though he may have learned from that error, he still feels inadequate due to this. The only thing that makes it worse is when the guys instruct him to consider an irritant while he is driving in nails. Bear contemplates his father, but he can still not drive a nail into a board. He admits to the spiritual warrior that he doesn’t think he can handle this task.
Chit Chat
The men start talking about Bear’s father during a later break. The majority of fathers, says Danny, “are bad.” Bear murmurs, “You should know,” which makes Danny sigh and turn to leave. The others advise Bear to let men make mistakes. As a result, they learn. “If you make a mistake, you grow from it. If you stumble once more, it’s just carelessness. After apologizing to Danny, Bear is told by him to learn how to do the job. He spends the time teaching him how to perform their duties.
When he inquires about Elora, Bear responds that she left him for California. Danny believes that he is still angry with her is good for Elora because it is what Daniel would have done. Danny claims that since Daniel passed away, everything has changed. He relocated, divorced his wife, and gave up drinking. He continues to blame himself for not being a better father and for failing to stop his son’s passing.
Bear
Bear claims he also feels bad. He feels guilty for not being there for Daniel. Danny quickly corrects him, though. It is up to the adults around Daniel to notice and address situations like his. He asserts that Bear shouldn’t pay attention to the other construction workers’ interpretations of what it means because one day, he will be a man. Men shouldn’t just make mistakes and expect to “do better” later. He “knows whatever he does has consequences,” instead.
Then, Bear and Danny get to their feet to leave the roof. They notice a bright, illogical light shining down on them as they look up at the sky. Could Daniel be there? After working a long day, Bear is paid and goes home to unwind. A tap on his window, however, quickly startles him. I’m in Elora. She stops him, crying, as he begins to yell at her for leaving him. She sobs, “My grandma is dying,” as she says this.
