Good Burger 2 Filming Locations: Where Is The Comedy Movie Filmed?

Fans of the film Good Burger were ecstatic to find that their favorite film would be returning for a second season in the year 2023. Fans are excited to know where the filming of Good Burger 2 is taking place. Directed by Phil Trail, the upcoming comedy-drama film is going to focus on the events after 26 years after the release of the first film. The fans will get to witness the reunion between Dexter Reed and Ed, his employee, as they go on yet another adventure.

Produced by Shauna Phelan and Zack Olin, Good Burger 2 is adapted from Dan Schneider’s Good Burger. Paramount Pictures with Nickelodeon undertook the production of the film, while Paramount + has undertaken the distribution of the film Good Burger 2 is set to have its streaming release somewhere in the month of November of 2023. Good Burger 2 is the sequel to the hit Good Burger film of 1997. Good Burger 2 making was officially announced by Thompson and Mitchell in March of 2023.

Good Burgers’ lead cast consists of Kenan Thompson playing the role of Dexter Reed, an unlucky investor rehired by Good Burgers, and Kel Mitchell playing the role of Ed, a good-hearted cashier working at Good Burger. Good Burgers supporting cast consists of Shar Jackson playing the role of Monique, Josh Server playing the role of Fizz, Jennifer Markes playing the role of Burger’s fan, and Lynn L’Heurex playing the role of a party guest.

Good Burger 2 is expected to do well with the viewers if we go by the success of the first film. The character of Ed and Dexter was loved by the viewer, and their bond helped the viewers connect with the film.

Good Burger 2 – Premise

Good Burger’s hasn’t been released yet, so the plot of the film isn’t quite finalized by the writer, but the basic plot of the film will focus on the beloved character of Dexter, an inventor, and Ed, an employee at Good Burger. The plotline of Good Burger 2 will focus on Dexter, who is going to be down on his luck and low on cash after one of his inventions fails; thus, he will be welcomed with an open heart by Ed, his friend, to work at Good Burger once again.

The friends will reunite once again at the same burger joint that was the initial place where their friendship blossomed. Dex starts to make plans to get back on his feet with the new crew’s help working at the Good Burger joint. The fate of Good Burger is put at risk once again by God, and the friends will go to any extent to make the Burger joint successful. Ed plans to jump-start his career while working at the Good Burger joint, and, well, Dexter is just excited to have his friend back.

Ed’s ambition to kick start his career will jeopardize the future of Good Burger joint and thus will risk everything from his friendship with Dexter to the joint. The initial friendship between Dexter and Ed happened in the first part of the film, released in 1977, where Ed was forced to take up a job at the burger joint after he accidentally thrashes his teachers’ car, where he meets sweet Dexter, who is dim-witted and often causes trouble for Ed.

It will be interesting to see if Ed and Dexter’s friendship will survive the test of time and whether or not they will be able to save their burger joint. Good Burger 2 will have the same humorous approach to it as the first one. Ed and Dexter, in the first movie, fought against Mondo, a competitive burger joint that was determined to steal the secret sauce recipe of the Good Burger joint.

Good Burger 2 filming began in the month of May of 2023, with Rhode Island as the prime location for the filming.

Rhode Island

Rhode Island, a state located in the New England region in the Northeastern region of the United States, is also known to be the smallest state located in the United States of America, with a population of 1.1 million as of 2020. The location is used by the production crew of Good Burger as the primary location to film the movie.

Rhode Island is a beautifully developed, well-planned state selected by the crew for its picturesque beauty. An outlet of Old Friendly’s located in Rhode Island will be used as the prime location for filming the diner scene. It will serve as the location for filming the burger joint Good Burger which is the prime part of the film.
