Some viewers can easily guess the contestants after looking at the trailer. Accordingly, the Bouncer must be Conrad Sewell, and Snow Fox must be Amber Riley. Scary Grim Reaper might be Darren Hayes and Cowgirl, Courtney Act. Mischa Barton, Brendan Fevola, and Charlotte Crosby are also rumored to participate in the upcoming season, though their stage names are unknown.
The third and the fourth seasons had twelve contestants, but this one will have thirteen. Channel 10’s website has released a photo to declare the next-gen masked singers and their stage names.

The Masked Singer Australia Season 5 was filmed with a live audience from 13 June to 3 July 2023. Tim Chappel, the costume designer, designed the costumes for the contestants in the fifth season. Chappel won a BAFTA and Australian Academy Award for his previous work.
The only original judge is Dave Hughes. The other judges, Abbie Chatfield, Mel B, and Chrissie Swan, are from the previous season. Osher Günsberg returned as the host.
Only the mask names of the contestants are revealed. They are Cowgirl, Snow Fox, Bluebottle, Bad Avocado, Bouncer, Tiny, Grim Reaper, Crash Test Dummy, Fawn, and Space Fairy.
According to Network Ten, the contestants will include an international singer who won a Grammy Award, a Hollywood personality, a performer with several dreams, a singer whose over a million records were sold, a reality show personality, and a sportsperson.
