In the latest chapter of the series, we saw that Shirogane was thinking about going back to his original form, and if Suzu Shadow Mei and Matsuri were to succeed in becoming one, then he might be able to revert to his original form. However, the first thing that we see Matsuri returning to his original form and becoming a boy is to approach this idea as fast as possible, and thus, Kanade gives Matsuri a love potion to use on Shadow Mei and to make her fall in love with her.
This will make the latter fall in love with Matsuri and help him get over their conflict and become a boy again. However, Matsuri throws the love portion powder out of the window and says that if he does this, then he will never be able to make peace with Mei. But for their luck, the powder sprinkles upon Mei, who was standing below, thinking that the love portion might be working, Matsuris asks, but Mei keeps a straight face and runs away.
But later, we learn that Mei is under the love potion, but she denies it, saying that it must be because of her hatred towards him that she is feeling hot. Later, we see Matsuri train all alone; however, we also see Mei stalking the former, and again, she thinks it is because of the hatred she has towards MMatsuri. Matsuri feels hot after his training with the sword and goes off to take a bath, where Mei follows him.
Mei starts taking her clothes off outside Matsuri’s bathroom, still thinking that she is doing this out of hatred for him and must make Kanade jealous by taking a bath with him and goes inside the bathroom and surprises Matsuri in the bathtub. Mei starts to feel embarrassed, and Matsuri figures that she is under the control of the love potion.
Matsuri dumps water on her head to erase the effect of the love potion and tells her that it was the love potion that made her feel that way. Just then, Kanade comes into the bathtub informing Matsuri that she baked some takoyaki, and upon seeing them naked, Kanade also starts taking her clothes off, and the chapter ends.
