New Maps
The new Fortune’s Keep Warzone map debuts with the new season. It’s roughly the size of Rebirth Island and has four distinct points of interest. Secondly, Town is a Mediterranean seaside village encircled by an ancient fortress. Expect a lot of close-quarters firefights throughout the buildings, though you can gain a vantage point by taking to the rooftops. There’s even a bell tower for snipers. Thirdly, Smuggler’s Cove, as the name suggests, will be brimming with valuable supplies. There are huts to investigate, caves to investigate, and a lighthouse to provide some elevation. The Winery, on the other hand, is a sprawling structure with multiple floors and plenty of rooms to explore. Finally, the titular Keep is a massive medieval fortress with ramparts and watchtowers. It may appear impenetrable, but you can get there via the island’s tunnel system or the nearby Redeploy Balloons.
Caldera Changes
Season 4 doesn’t forget about the Caldera map—Storage Town is a “new” point of interest that will be added to the island. Veterans of Verdansk will recognize it, though it will differ slightly from the original iteration. There will also be numerous minor updates throughout Caldera, such as additional pathways and scaffolding at the Capital Buildings, as well as the opening of the Gondola Station. Mercenary Vaults are also expected to appear throughout the map, and some rivers have dried up, resulting in the formation of camps in various locations.
Armored SUV
The Armored SUV is a novel way to move around Caldera, and as the name implies, it’s loaded with defenses. You can use the rooftop turret to keep enemies at bay or the Nitro Boost to leave them in the dust.
New Weapons
A new Warzone season wouldn’t be complete without a small arsenal of weapons. With the Season 4 update, four new characters will be added. They are as follows: The Marco SMG, the UGM-8 LMG, the Vargo-S AR, and the Dagger push melee attack. You will find the first two available since the game launch, and the others will be obtained through season passes, challenges, or bundles.
Operators
Season 4 adds new operators to the mix, and they are Butcher Carver, Calum Hendry, and Ikenna Olowe. The first one is available as the game launches, and the others are available through season passes, challenges, or bundles.
Golden Plunder: Limited Time
To stay with the theme of the new season, this new limited-time mode puts a new spin on the traditional Plunder mode. You’ll need to accumulate wealth to win, and you can use the cash-dispensing ATM machines to help you get there. There are Golden Keycards to be found, which grant access to loot-filled bunkers. That’s all the time we have for Warzone season 4, happy hunting and go get them, soldier!
