Police Rescue Australia: Filming Locations
Since this Channel 9 show is a documentary of a Rescue and Bomb Disposal team based in Australia, most of the filming takes place in the areas around New South Wales. Although the headquarters or the main office is based in Sydney, NSW, the teams often travel to various other places to deal with the mission given to them.
New South Wales, Australia:
With millions of people living in this state, NSW often has emergencies arising in its cities, the most common being the capital, Sydney. The crime rate in Australia is comparatively lower compared to other countries, but we do see around almost 80-100 victims of homicide each year.
Many parts of NSW are featured in the episodes of Police Rescue Australia. For instance, the first episode takes place in Sydney’s outskirts, where the team has to rush to a dangerous spot in search of an old man that got himself lost in the dense bushland. The crew manages to save the man just in time before he starts showing symptoms of severe dehydration.
In the 3rd episode, we see the bomb disposal team at work as they go all the way to the countryside in NSW to detonate a bomb. They don’t reveal the location as these cases usually have sensitive information attached to them.
Through terror and anxiety, the team detonates the bomb before it could cause any significant damage in New South Wales’s countryside. Another location that we see on Police Rescue Australia is the Sydney Harbor Bridge, where recruits are given the task to abseil down almost 60 meters for a task.
Police Rescue Australia: About The Show
If you’re into shows that give an adrenaline rush or just like watching policemen at work, this is a must-watch. Often the work of a police officer, especially those that work for emergency cases, is unappreciated.
These trained people have to risk their lives every day to do what they do but somehow manage to keep an optimistic attitude no matter how complicated things get. Police Rescue Australia is a way to appreciate the efforts of these warriors and have a look into the courage, patience, and love that goes into their work each day.
With Brendan Cowell narrating each situation throughout the episode, the show is an adventure of its own, with neither the crew nor us having any clue of how the mission will be turning out.
As exciting as this sounds, there’s also the heartbreaking risk of not making it on time, which can create a tense situation for the officers. However, with their contagious positive attitude and willingness to save people, they charge right into the problem without any second thoughts. The rewarding feeling of saving someone is something that we see in each of the show’s episodes.
At present, Police Rescue Australia is available to watch at 9Now.
