Hidden Assets Season 2 Episode 2 will be released soon. The show is back with a second season after a long break and this time there are quite a few changes both sweet and sour. Season one of the show takes the routes of Ireland and Belgium to solve some of the most mysterious cases.
From a dead body being found in an apartment to a suicide bombing by a terrorist, and even rough diamonds found in a raid on a drug dealer, too much is going on and it is upon Detective Emer Berry of CAB(Criminal Assets Bureau) to figure out the connection. Could be possible that all the dots join to unveil a great secret?
In order to find an answer to the mysteries, she heads from Ireland to Belgium to investigate. She meets Chief Inspector Christian de Jong there, an officer from the Anti Terrorism squad. They have no option but to coordinate as things go beyond the national boundaries, an international conspiracy. They find the world becoming a hub of drug dealing, smuggling, and terrorism and the powers backing it up are political leaders and corrupt corporate.
The main ones accused of being guilty are Bibi and an Irish dynasty Brannigans. The worst is yet to come as another terrorist attack is on the cards. CAB along with their officer Emer Berry and Christian has to stop it before things get out of control. The first season only had 6 episodes leaving everyone yearning for more.
Now, the second season of Hidden Asset is scheduled for another 6 episodes in continuation to the story of the previous season but this time Emer Berry, the main character, is missing from the show. Her replacement is Detective Sergeant Claire Wallace, the new boss of CAB.
The role is played by Nora-Jane Noone so Angeline Ball will definitely be missed. Let’s quickly move on to the details of the premiere of Hidden Assets Season 2.
Hidden Assets Season 2 Episode 1 Recap
The last season’s episode was a race against time. While Bibi was taken into custody, Emer and Christan were trying to find the main mastermind of the terrorist attack while trying to prevent the bomb from exploding. This season picks up a year after the events that took place in the finale of season 1.
The episode begins and focuses on the main protagonist Detective Sergeant Claire Wallace. She is the new boss at the Criminal Assets Bureau whose journey starts with a new cyber attack that hits both CAB and the Belgian Counter Terrorist Unit. Officer Christian is stumped in Belgium when a suspect with knowledge of suicide bombing is killed.
Now, without access to the information he wanted, the hackers attacking their system in lieu of some bitcoins in exchange for the secret and high profile files and data of the company affects his sanity more. The file related to Bibi has been damaged.
From the cybercrime unit, D.I. Moore tries to explain about the corrupted files and VPNs to the team. Meanwhile, Bibi who was taken into custody has managed to flee and now Richard’s business partner is also after her.
The illegitimate secrets about Richard’s company are revealed and we get to know that there is a mole in the Counter Terrorism unit so Claire and Christian begin their investigation. Bibi’s car is firebombed to leave an open end for the viewers to suspect.

The two protagonists Claire and Christian will be trying to prevent Antwerp Port’s sale. Their investigation to find the mole and combat this cyber attack will continue in episode 2.
