This spectacular manga is the creation of Kotoyama. In English, the title is Call of the Night. Yofukashi No Uta is a manga that has taken vampire love to a whole new level with an intriguing and unique plot. The serialization of this manga has been done by Weekly Shonen Sunday. The licensing of this manga is done by Viz Media. There is also an anime adaptation of this manga produced by Liden Films.
Here is a short synopsis of the plot. Some people just don’t understand love and are baffled by the concept. Kou Yamori is one such person who just isn’t smitten by it like the rest of the people who are his age. For some strange reason, he develops vicious insomnia and even drops out of school. Because he can’t sleep at night, he has taken to roaming the streets when the moon is out and shining.
One night, when he was out roaming because of his lack of sleep, he encountered a strange girl who looked around his age. Her name was Nazuna Nanakusa. She tells Kou that she believes people who can’t sleep at night are the ones who are dissatisfied with their own life and how they spend their mornings. She also tells him that such people can only go to sleep at night if they fix their morning problems.
This strange girl invites Kou to her house in the middle of the night, claiming that she can help him go back to sleep. When they reach her house, she tells him to share the futon with her. He agrees but feels uncomfortable and pretends to sleep. This is when Nazuna bites his neck. Why did she do that? Because she was a vampire! Instead of being frightened, Kou gets excited, thinking he will turn into a vampire too.
But the dynamics of the process of turning into a bloodsucker are quite different in this particular story. Now here comes the twist. In order to become a vampire, Kou needs to be bitten by a vampire who he is in love with. That is the only condition to turn into one himself. Tired of his mundane life, Kou makes it his mission to fall in love with Nazuna and finally become a vampire.

At the start of this chapter, Mahiru Seki meets Nazuna, and he is surprised to see her. Nazuna asks him if he is expecting someone else and assures him that the person he is expecting to meet will show up soon. Meanwhile, she invites him to have a conversation with her about love.
Meanwhile, Kou Yamori, who almost drowned in the water as Kiku san tried to kill him, was rescued by the others who arrived on a motorbike. He was helped out of the water just as Kiku san emerged out of the water, completely drenched. She scrambles out of the water to get to Kou, but the others stop her telling her that she isn’t going anywhere.
Kiku san warns them not to get in her way but is interrupted by Kou, who tells her that he wants her to meet someone. As Yamori Kou rides off on the motorbike, he sees Miss Detective standing there with a cigarette in one hand. She was there to meet Kiku san. Haruka san mentions that Nazuna asked him to do this. Kiku san asks the detective to make it quick and tell her what she needs to hear,
Back to the scene with Mahiru and Nazuna, Mahiru asks her why she was blushing to which she gets embarrassed and apologizes to him profusely. Once she has calmed down, she asks Mahiru what it was like to fall in love with a vampire. She tells him that she has some questions she wants to ask about Mahiru and Kiku.
