There are humans who want to create peace. And there are devils whose main goal is destruction. Then comes Lucius Zogratis, who wants to create peace using devils’ powers. Believe it or not, there are people who think they can change the world by using the wrong means. They think that the world is already on the wrong path. So, it’s okay to use the wrong path for the right cause. Their intention might be pure at the beginning, but at some point, the wrong path will consume them whole. And they won’t even realize it.
One may think it is not wrong to use bad means to do something good. But if you use the wrong means too, then what is the difference between you and the bad guys? After all, every bad guy thinks what he is doing is the right thing to do. So, who exactly is Lucius Zogratis? What is his goal? What kind of person is he, and what are his powers? Who Is Lucius Zogratis?
Lucius Zogratis is the eldest brother among the Zogratis siblings. He is also the main antagonist of the Black Clover series. Lucius Zogratis is the devil host of the time devil Astaroth. And using the powers of devils, he wants to recreate peace and humanity. He thinks of humanity to be weak as people pass away. So, in order to create a better world, he wants to remake the world full of the undying. And for that, he is willing to go beyond any limits. This is the problem with any antagonist as they start to think like everything and everyone belongs to him. And he is free to do anything without considering the freedom of the others. To make it easier, he became the wizard king of the Clover Kingdom as Julius Novachrono. Now, who’d question a king? This way, he can manipulate anyone and everyone.
Lucius Zogratis was so lost in his goals that he was even willing to turn his younger brother, Zenon Zogratis, into a devil host too. But Zenon denied it at first, but after his friend’s death, Zenon finally reconsiders his brother’s offer. Now, this makes us think, what if Zenon’s friend’s death was a part of Lucius Zogratis’s plan just to make him want to take up on his offer. If that is what happened, then Lucius really is to be feared. A man who can manipulate his own sibling just to make him take his offer can never bring the peace he keeps talking about.

Will Lucius Zogratis Never Be Caught? Is He Really The Main Villain?
All this time being in disguise Julius Novachrono, nobody suspected him except Damnatio Kira. After Lucifero is defeated, Damnatio confronts Julius, and at that point, Lucifero drops his act and makes Damnatio regret confronting him like that. Soon after, Adrammelech pays him a visit with Lucifero’s Heart. Now, this changes everything. There were many of us who already predicted a long time ago that Lucius Zogratis might be the real mastermind behind everything. But after Lucifero’s death, when Adrammelech took away his heart, it made us believe that maybe we were wrong. Maybe it was Adrammelech who is the main villain of Black Clover.
Now that he brought Lucifero’s heart to Lucius Zogratis, things are making sense again. It was Lucius Zogratis all along. But, one more question arises. If Adrammelech is apathetic towards humans, then why is he working for Lucius Zogratis? Is it because of their common goal to release the devils from the underworld? Or is there a bigger villain? What if Adrammelech actually is a servant of the Time Devil, Astaroth? That’s crazy, right? There’s no way that can happen, right?

Magic Powers And Equipment
Magic: Lucius Zogratis is the devil host of the Time Devil, Astaroth. So, it is natural that Lucius uses Time Magic which gives him the ability to manipulate time. This magic gives him the freedom and ability to steal and store time from others and later use it to manipulate time according to his will.
