Where does Renovation Resort take place? Viewers loved when HGTV took them on a Caribbean adventure that followed renovation experts Bryan and Sarah Baeumler as they changed the overall look of an entire island resort on a remote island in the Bahamas.
The show became an instant hit after the pair were seen taking in the difficult task of restoring and renovating an abandoned resort that is located on the Bahamian island of South Andros. The Renovation Island stars are returning to HGTV, but this time they won’t be renovating or changing the outlook of an abandoned resort alone but will be competing instead!
The pair will be seen joining the brand new season four of Rock the Block. The four teams will have to compete to renovate an identical 5,000-square-foot home in Colorado. They will be given $250,000 and will have six weeks to complete the renovation project. Let us find out where Renovation Resort takes place.
Where does Renovation Resort take place?
Renovation Resort is focused on transforming Canadian rental properties on Scott’s Vacation House Rules, as the previous show revolves around Bryan Baeumler and his family’s growing business, including their boutique hotel named Caerula Mar Club, which is located on South Andros Island in the Bahamas.
While it is located on one of the largest islands in the Bahamas, South Andros is also known to be one of the least populated and least visited places, as viewers must know how the Renovation Island resort is one of just a few of the hotels on the island. Filming of the series took place at the family’s resort which is located in South Andros.

Who Is Bryan Baeumler?
The Baeumlers family hails from Canada. However, as viewers saw in the third season of Renovation Island, Bryan and his wife Sarah, who shares four children, made a big decision to relocate the entire family to Florida so that they could also be able to work closer to the resort. They went ahead and sold their custom-built home in Canada while purchasing a house in Wellington, Florida.

The 40-year-old ranch-style house seemed to be a great fit for the Baeumlers in many ways while also being close to the stables where their children could also enjoy some horseback riding. The house, however, needed some major changes and renovations, which took more time than expected.
Meanwhile, the Baeumler family of six was seen living out of an RV while the house got renovated. Viewers saw how the majority part of the third season was filmed in Florida and mostly focused on Baeumers’ renovations of their new residence.
Is A New Show In the Works?
While the original show has not been renewed further, the network has other plans in work as HGTV Canada has recently issued a casting call while stating that they are casting for a brand-new series where Bryan Baeumler will be traveling off-the-beaten-path to help people who have left their old lives behind to start a business that is set in a rural or remote location.
Bryan will be seen using his expertise in renovating a resort on a remote island to help someone launch their dream project. In January 2023, Bryan also confirmed it further while taking to social media about this brand new chapter of his life while saying how he loves helping people and has learned a few things along the way.
Bryan further said that if someone is an entrepreneur in Canada and is finding themselves at the end of the road less traveled and thinks he can use some help, he would love to visit! Scott McGillivray, who is also a familiar face on the network, will be joining Bryan in the new show. Bryan and Sarah are also going to participate in season four of Rock the Block.
