While fans have recently gone to social media and asked the makers to replace lead star Chris Pratt, James Gunn soon came to the actor’s rescue. Not to forget how James Gunn was initially fired by Disney after some of his controversial tweets resurfaced on the Internet.
However, the director was eventually welcomed back to Marvel Studios back in March 2019, as the entire team geared up for the third “Guardians” film under Gunn’s direction. One of the lead stars, Karen Gillan has opened up about the firing and return of Gunn, explaining how doing another “Guardians” movie without James Gunn at the helm would have felt wrong. She further admitted that everybody was so excited to be back together and that feeling was giddy excitement.
The cast and crew are the whole families were back together. The actress further added that it just wouldn’t have felt right without James back with them And believes that it wouldn’t have been the same movie without Gunn’s participation.

It has been further claimed that the cast is grateful after Disney finally re-hired the director and that it’s been an emotional shoot and it has been for everyone. Karen Gillian also teased that now that the movie production is almost finished and there is a little bit of a bittersweet feeling in the air as they close out this chapter of the Guardians as they currently know it.

Karen Gillan has recently yet another big revelation as he teases that the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is going to be extremely funny. Not only that but she further praised their beloved director and assured fans that she thinks that the Special might be some of James Gunn’s best work yet.
