Season 1 of ‘We Own This City’ opens up by introducing the world of police brutality in the city of Baltimore and Episode 2 might be the beginning of a change. We came to see that through corrupt cops such as Wayne Jenkins and Daniel Hersl. At the same time, Nicole Steele made her presence felt as she questioned the system and police brutality by looking into the case of Daniel Hersl.
Apart from all of this, we also saw McDougall and his team investigating a major drug case. It led them to another cop who was tracking the same target as theirs. The final moments of the premiere episode saw the department questioning Wayne Jenkins about the rise of crime in Baltimore and the fall of arrests. Jenkins on his hand stood up for his unit claiming GTTR’s arrest numbers have only gone up. The episode came to a close with the FBI arresting Wayne Jenkins and we wonder what it is all about.

We Own This City Season 1 Episode 2 will release on 2 May 2022. It is titled, “Part Two”. The official synopsis of the episode suggests we may see Jenkins learning about policing as a new officer. This scenario might be taking place in the past. It might explore how Jenkins became the kind of cop he is today. Apart from that, we still don’t know why the FBI has brought in Jenkins. Probably the coming second episode will have an answer for that.
Coming to confessions, we will see Rayam talking about the ways of the Gun Trace Task Force. Also note, that we will finally see The Wire Alumni Jamie Hector’s character Suiter in action as he is assigned a murder case.
