Terry Crews is back as the host. He has been hosting AGT since 2019 and did the same in the spin-off AGT: The Champions. AGT spin-offs such as All Stars and All Champions were successful, which must have inspired the makers to make another spin-off, Fantasy League. Let us see how far it goes.

The catch lies in the name America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League. The unique spin-off might turn into a fantasy for the judges because they choose their dream teams from a pool of talented contestants. On the other hand, exceptional performers get the golden buzzer, which sends them straight to the finale.
Meanwhile, the studio audience, rather than studio fans, has the voting power from the beginning. Only one act and one judge will win the competition and take home $250, 000.
60 acts from the AGT shows appeared before the judges who selected only forty, ten for each judge. They can also steal the act from another judge. They press the golden buzzer several times in this spin-off, which did not happen before.
For instance, Mel B stole Emily and Billy England from Simon’s team by pressing the golden buzzer and sending them directly to the finale in the first episode. Emily and Billy, the siblings, are the first performers on AGT: Fantasy League to receive the golden buzzer.
The siblings announced their participation in December 2023 on Instagram and pledged to do things they did not do before.
The du first appeared in AGT Season 12 and Britain’s Got Talent Season 9 and was eliminated in the semi-finals every time. After that, they appeared in AGT: The Champions but were eliminated in between. The first two episodes of AGT: Fantasy League showed a comedian, magicians, a dog act, musicians, gymnasts, and more.
Mel B spoke to Glamour and expressed her happiness for being a part of AGT. She was on a Spice Girls tour but got a break and used the opportunity to join the show. She stated how fierce the competition has become because the participants are not amateurs. Instead, they are elite of the elite, and the judges will be fighting for them.
Mel B mentioned she worked for over ten hours on the set of AGT but decided to be truthful and mention it in her memoir. Meanwhile, some viewers are sick of seeing judges’ reactions more than the acts.
Viewers also complained that the acts are shown at a faster speed, and the episode lasts two hours only because of advertisements. Otherwise, they will be only one hour and twenty minutes long.
