Villains of Valley View Season 2 Episode 17 Recap
After a string of missteps, the heroine Starling of the newest episode of “Villains of Valley View,” “A Tale of Two Havocs,” chooses to leave up her life as a superhero. She runs to her close friend Amy, who is thankfully oblivious to what is about to happen, for safety.
Vic and Eva, two Valley View locals with unusual gifts, buy Jake and Colby an OmegaBox 4 system. But when they become entangled in a Power Smashers 2 tournament and are unable to properly appreciate their new possession, their strategy is foiled.
As Hartley worries about the repercussions of changing time, adventure-seeking Amy prods Starling to use her time-based abilities to alter time. Vic and Eva’s modified controllers entice Jake and Colby to follow them into the basement, where they devise a cunning plan to retrieve the console.
They create a Power Smashers 2 game in real life and beat Jake and Colby. When Starling returns to the scene, it takes a surprising turn when she discloses that her time-based abilities are not functioning properly and are having unanticipated effects.
She is brought back to normal by Ava using her aural powers. Vic and Eva fool Jake and Colby more throughout the show, wearing the four of them out. To level the playing field, Jake and Colby might seize control of the game for a brief period of time.
Amy and Hartley counsel Starling to find balance in her life and recognize when to take a break after Hartley, who is incredibly perceptive, finds a pattern in her unpredictable talents and steps in. Amy attacks Starling, using sound to emphasize the importance of restraint and self-care.
At the end of the episode, there’s a humorous revelation that raises the possibility that using actual people as characters in video games isn’t as absurd as it first appears.
