The focus of the story in the next few chapters will be between the ancient and advanced in Versus Chapter 20. The action manga is unlike One has ever written, his ability to make a world with a new set of characters is uncanny, to say the least. In this new world, we get to see One doing the opposite of what he had been doing for along, making weaker characters.
While Mob and Saitama were the strongest in the world and had their unique problems, the world of verses is different. It’s the classic story of the weak and just banding together to take on the strong and cruel to bring peace. But things are complicated in this action series, and character interests change over time.
Jachi, the demon king, had come to the other world with his army and was looking for challenges. He challenged the creatures of the newer world to test his metal and get a thrill out of the fight. But he was dissatisfied in the end due to their lack of power to challenge him in any way.
Uki was doing business as usual and taking care of the Demons that he had happened upon. He just wanted to look for Mega Kaiju when Jachi came back to his camp after the fight, devastated by the sight of his dead soldiers. Uki ignored the demon king until he realized that Jachi had more to him than it seemed.
